Tilak Varma punched the air in delight after hitting his maiden T20I hundred n the third of the four-match series against South Africa in Centurion on Wednesday, November 13. Tilak got to his hundred in 51 balls in a well-paced knock at the SuperSport Park as India posted 219 for 6 in their quota of 20 overs.
Tilak Varma, 22, became the second youngest to hit a T20I hundred after Yashasvi Jaiswal. The Mumbai Indians star got to his first three-figure score in his 19th match in the T20I format of the game.

Tilak Varma remained 107 not out, smashing eight boundaries and seven sixes in a big blitz. Tilak batted through, showing he has a matured head on his young shoulders, propelling India to their highest-ever total in a T20I match in South Africa.

Tilak reflected on the milestone moment of his career, saying he was waiting for the hundred for quite sometime.
“Incredible feeling to get this coming back from injury. The wicket was two-paced, and challenging at the start. After some time it went well. I was holding my shape while playing the shots,” he said.

Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma were the stars of the Indian innings as they added 107 runs for the second wicket in just 8.2 overs. Abhishek was dismissed by left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj after he got to his fifty, but Tilak carried on and got to a three-figure score.
Despite India losing wickets in clusters in the middle-overs, Tilak propelled the innings forward. Debutant Ramandeep Singh gave India a big push in the end overs, hitting 15 from just six deliveries.
