From launching her own production house to backing her first film ‘Subham’, it was a good year for her professionally. And as the year reached its finale, Samantha added the biggest chapter of all by getting married. She tied the knot with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in December. On Christmas Eve, Samantha took to Instagram to reflect on the whirlwind year by sharing a series of pictures that offered glimpses into different moments. Among them was an unseen photograph from her wedding day, showing her seated beside Raj in their wedding attire as he struck a playful expression, prompting her laughter. The carousel also featured a video of her training at the gym, a still from her cameo appearance in ‘Subham’, and a picture of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.Samantha dropped these pictures and wrote, “A year of gratitude 🤍” This post also has a picture of Samantha from her mehendi ceremony. The mehendi was done by Arulmozhi Ilavarasu who is based in Chennai. Sharing details of the design, she exclusively rold ETimes, “Samantha was very mindful about getting a minimal henna design, which is a trendsetter, and for a special touch we hid the groom’s name, Raj, in her henna. Opting for minimal designs makes them more visible and vibrant, and it adds more vibe to the overall wedding than doing full-hand henna. So, she was very specific about getting minimal designs and with traditional touch like the cap fillings.” Samantha’s mehendi took around an hour, since it was a very simple, minimalistic design. When asked where was the groom’s name hidden, the mehendi artist said, “Raj’s name was hidden in her right middle finger. It’s a part of the henna culture to hide the groom’s name.”Samantha and Raj tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Coimbatore on December 1. They got married in a sacred Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha ceremony at the abode of Linga Bhairavi Devi within Isha Yoga Center. Samantha made a beautiful bride in a red banarasi saree with flower motifs. Raj on the other hand opted for a beige kurta with a gold jacket. While the bride opted for an Arpita Mehta saree, the groom wore an outfit from Tarun Tahiliani.
