World No. 18 Sen’s inconsistent run resulted in a 19-21, 11-21 loss to Japan’s World No. 8 Kodai Naraoka in the men’s singles that lasted close to an hour.
In the men’s doubles event, 15th-ranked Rankireddy and Shetty were handed a 22-24, 14-21 defeat by the World No. 5 Chinese pair of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang.
