In November 2025, shortly after the Indian women’s cricket team secured the World Cup, the wedding of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal was postponed unexpectedly. Reports indicated a breakdown in their relationship on the eve of the ceremony.
Initial delays were attributed to Smriti’s father, Srinivas, falling ill. Soon after, Palash Muchhal was hospitalised due to severe stress. With concerns mounting on both sides, the families agreed to postpone the wedding. Following the postponement, rumours circulated online alleging infidelity by Muchhal. His family strongly denied these claims, describing the speculation as baseless and damaging.
Both Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal subsequently issued statements confirming their decision to end their relationship. Despite this, a recent video has surfaced showing apparent reconciliation between their families.
The footage shows Smriti’s father with Palash’s sister, Palak Muchhal, and her husband, Mithoon, outside a Mumbai restaurant. Palak is seen greeting Srinivas by touching his feet and receiving his blessings before he departs.
The video sparked discussion among fans, with some suggesting a possible reunion, while others dismissed it as a fake one or outdated. Some viewers speculated the clip might have been recorded when the couple was still together.
India Today has been unable to verify the video’s authenticity so far. Neither Smriti Mandhana nor Palash Muchhal has issued comments regarding the video so far.

Smriti has continued to put her full focus on the field following the outside noise as she has been a key player for India and RCB in the Women’s Premier League.
She scored 377 runs in nine matches in the WPL as RCB lifted the title and won the BCCI Women’s Player Of The Year award for her performance last year for India.
