In a candid reflection during the time he was hosting “TED Talks India: Nayi Soch, Shah Rukh shared, “ When life gives you a lot more than you think you deserve. It humbles you. It makes you believe that there are so many other people who are better than me, are more talented than me. or perhaps even ten times more hardworking than me. But some of us, sometimes, through good or bad things happening in our lives, and I don’t want to romanticize the fact that I was young, I was an orphan, my parents died, no, that’s gone and behind now, they happened to us, for a reason. And you have to accept both with humility, not with victimhood. So to me, everything that happens to me is a chance to do things better with all the humility I have, and thank God and Allah and Bhagwan and everyone, for the fact that I got the strength through my weaknesses to keep going on and on and on.”
