A few days ago, there was a rumor that Ranveer Singh had left Farhan Akhtar`s highly awaited Don 3. Simultaneously, there was a report that stated Akshaye Khanna would be quitting Drishyam 3, which fueled rumors that these actors were leaving movies while on a high point in their careers.
However, new information suggests that Ranveer`s alleged departure from Don 3 is entirely due to creative disagreements rather to box office success or compensation.

A source explained the background of the casting in an interview with India Today, stating, “It`s actually an entirely different story.” First, after he had produced three enormous failures, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar offered him Don 3. Even after Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved Baiju Bawra because he was deemed unmarketable at the time, they continued to support him.”
“Don 3 is the hottest franchise, and Ranveer was stepping into the legendary shoes of not just Shah Rukh Khan but also Amitabh Bachchan,” the source continued, highlighting the scope of the production. For any actor, it is a dream role.” The insider emphasized that Farhan Akhtar had faith in Ranveer long before Dhurandhar`s release. “Farhan was the only filmmaker who put his trust in Ranveer when others had backed out. This was also at a time when Dhurandhar hadn’t even released.”
