In a recent interview with ‘Galatta,’ famous actor and stunt coordinator Kanal Kannan revealed the shirtless scene in Rajinikanth’s film ‘Padayappa.’ According to him, “During the shooting of Padayappa, Rajinikanth sir told me that he was going to do a bare-body scene. I asked him, “Sir, will this be okay?” He went away quietly, then turned back and asked, “What did I say? Will it be okay?” Then he did that scene. I was shocked,” Kanal Kannan shared.
Superstar’s commitment highlighted
Kanal Kannan added that Rajinikanth’s use of his youthful body, which he had grown up carrying, for this event proves that he is not lazy. “It would have been easy for a superstar to have left me out of the film. But he didn’t do that. That shows Rajinikanth’s mentality,” shared Kanal Kannan. The scene was a moment that showcased Rajinikanth’s confidence, physique, and dedication to acting and earned him extraordinary praise from fans.

After completing the behind-the-scenes edits of the film, Rajinikanth sir called Kanal Kannan and asked, “What do you want? Diamonds?” Kanal Kannan replied, “Sir, diamonds don’t suit me. Will you buy a Rudraksha?” Rajinikanth gifted him a Rudraksha in return.
