Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the Union Budget has once again failed to live up to the expectations of Punjab. He said there is no MSP guarantee for farmers in the budget, no employment assurance for the youth, and no relief for industry or taxation. The Center has not taken any concrete steps to strengthen the economy of Punjab and has once again treated the state and its people unfairly.
CM Mann said that Punjabis are hardworking and resilient and despite repeated neglect by the Centre, the AAP government and the people of Punjab will unite to rebuild Punjab and make it economically strong on its own.
Harpal Cheema says Union Budget has once again betrayed the farmers of Punjab and Haryana, Center has turned its back on MSP, ignored mandi and agriculture infrastructure, says Punjab FM.
Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, reacting to the Union Budget, said the Center has once again ignored the legitimate concerns of farmers of Punjab and Haryana, exposing its hollow claims of being farmer-friendly. Cheema pointed out that there has been no increase in agricultural infrastructure funds, nor has any concrete support been given to strengthen mandi infrastructure, leaving agricultural states to fend for themselves.
He said Punjab’s farmers feed the country, yet the central government is neglecting to invest in the systems that ensure food security. The Finance Minister also criticized the selective approach adopted in promoting high-value crops. While the budget mentions crops like coconut, cashew, sandalwood and nuts, there is nothing for North Indian farmers who depend on crops suited to their agro-climatic conditions.
Cheema stressed that this budget clearly shows the Centre’s bias and its continued indifference towards the farmers of food grain producing states, especially Punjab, who deserve respect, support and proper investment, not empty slogans.

He said the Budget does not offer any clear roadmap for MSP beyond wheat and rice, which highlights the Centre’s lack of seriousness towards farmers’ income security.
Khuddian pointed out that there is no concrete package for crop diversification, which is vital for sustainable agriculture in Punjab, nor is there any financial assistance for farmers affected by frequent floods. He stressed that the Center has once again turned its back on the country’s food providers and has ignored their difficulties by making empty promises.
The minister said that farmers of Punjab deserve genuine support and fair policies, and not continued neglect by the central government.
Union Budget brought only disappointment to people: Aman Arora
Said, BJP continues step-motherly treatment with Punjab

He said that BJP came to power on big promises, but there is nothing meaningful in the budget for farmers, youth, women or common citizens.
Arora said that especially Punjab has once again been given step-motherly treatment. Despite Punjab’s historical contribution since independence, from feeding the country during food shortages to standing at the forefront in difficult times, there is no provision for any new mega project for the state.
He termed the attitude of the Center as extremely unfortunate and said that repeated neglect of Punjab is unacceptable. Aman Arora rejected the budget outright and urged the Prime Minister and the central government to stop discriminating against Punjab, reminding them that Punjab is an integral part of the nation and deserves fairness, respect and due support.

AAP’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal strongly condemned the Union Budget, saying it shows gross discrimination against Punjab. He said that the Center has once again betrayed the state by not giving anything to farmers, youth or development. There is no legal guarantee on MSP, no assurance of employment for the youth, and no approval of any major project for Punjab.
Dhaliwal reminded that Punjab has made supreme sacrifice for the country, right from the freedom struggle to the security of the country’s borders even today. Despite this, the Center has not given Punjab its due by withholding funds and ignoring the needs of the state.
He said that Punjabis are hardworking and resilient and will stand on their own feet, but the Center will have to answer one day for its continued neglect. Dhaliwal strongly criticized the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister for repeatedly doing injustice to Punjab and termed it as extremely painful and unacceptable.

Center silent on the rights of Punjab, no special assistance for Punjab in the Union Budget: Dr. Ravjot
Punjab Minister Dr. Ravjot said that whenever it comes to the rights of Punjab, the Central Government maintains silence. He said that despite tall claims on health, education and agriculture, the Union Budget does not provide any specific assistance for Punjab.

Union Budget big on claims, hollow on substance: Neil Garg
It is said that Punjab, farmers, youth and common people were once again disappointed.
Senior AAP leader Neel Garg strongly criticized the Union Budget and compared it to the Punjabi proverb “Patteya Pahad, Nikla Chuha”, in which big announcements were made with negligible results. He said that despite tall claims and attractive figures, there is not a single announcement that brings real relief to Punjab.
Garg said Punjab farmers were expecting special assistance and a legal guarantee on MSP after suffering massive losses due to floods last year, but the budget gave nothing. He said that the youth of Punjab have once again been disappointed as the long promised employment guarantee has become mere slogans.
He said the industry was expecting special incentives to boost growth and create jobs in Punjab, but no such support was announced. At a time when common people are struggling with rising inflation, the budget does not provide any meaningful relief.
Neel Garg alleged that the budget is clearly tilted in favor of big corporates like Ambani, Adani, while farmers, workers and common citizens have been ignored. He said Punjabis, who have fed the country and made supreme sacrifice for national security, are feeling cheated. Garg stressed that people need real, ground-level relief, not hollow announcements, and concluded that this budget has failed to live up to people’s expectations.
