About Vadh 2
Written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vadh 2 stars veteran actors Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in entirely new roles, unfolding a fresh story while retaining the emotional and philosophical depth that defined Vadh. Backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg’s Luv Films, the spiritual sequel has steadily emerged as one of the most anticipated films of 2026.
The anticipation surrounding Vadh 2 has only grown following its strong reception at the 56th IFFI 2025, where the film screened in the Gala Premiere section to a packed house. The screening was met with prolonged applause and widespread appreciation, reaffirming Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta’s standing as two of Indian cinema’s most accomplished performers.
A Luv Films presentation, Vadh 2 is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is slated for a theatrical release on 6th February 2026.
Sanjay Mishra on Vadh 2
While expressing his emotions on the completion of Vadh 2, Sanjay Mishra said that for him, Vadh is more than a film; it is a cinematic experience that stayed with him even years after its release. “Vadh was not just a film, it was a cinematic experience that stayed with us and even with the audience. To see it evolve into a franchise is both humbling and exciting. Working once again under Jaspal’s direction has been truly inspiring – his vision brings depth to every moment,” said Sanjay Mishra, as quoted in the press note.
Producer Luv Ranjan added, “The beauty of Vadh lies in how it captures the beliefs of ordinary people tested by difficult situations that challenge their conscience and courage. With Vadh 2, Jaspal takes that exploration several notches higher, delivering a compelling and thought-provoking story that feels truly special. We’re excited for audiences to experience it unfold on the big screen from February 6 onwards.”
