Vin Diesel teases Cristiano Ronaldo`s casting in next Fast and Furious movie

It seems that the Fast & Furious franchise`s final film will see the presence of football icon Cristiano Ronaldo. Actor and producer of the car franchise, Vin Diesel, has hinted at Ronaldo’s possible involvement in the final film of the series.

Vin Diesel hints at Ronaldo in Fast and Furious finale film

Vin Diesel on Friday dropped a photo with Ronaldo on his Instagram feed. The picture featured the two posing with a thumbs-up. Sharing the image, the caption read, “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him…”

The picture, along with the caption, has led to increased excitement among fans of the football legend. However, neither Ronaldo nor Diesel has officially confirmed the inclusion of the football star in the final film of the Fast & Furious franchise.

Paul Walker`s character to reunite with Fast team?

Meanwhile, Diesel recently said that Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, may make an appearance in the film. Speaking at Fuel Fest in June, the actor revealed that the 11th movie in the franchise will be released in theatres in April 2027. This is the release timeline he agreed upon with Universal Studios “under three conditions.”

“Just yesterday I was with Universal Studios… The studio said to me, ‘Vin, can we please have the finale of Fast & Furious in April 2027?’ I said, ‘Under three conditions because I’ve been listening to my fan base,’” he explained. Diesel noted that he wanted the franchise to return to Los Angeles, return to car culture and street racing, and reunite his character Dom with Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner.

“The third thing was reuniting Dom and Brian O’Conner,” Diesel said. “That is what you’re going to get in the finale.”

Paul Walker died in a single-vehicle collision on November 30, 2013, at the age of 40, while he was still filming Fast & Furious 7. Diesel’s recent comments align with statements he made in 2023, when he teased a proper goodbye for Walker’s character.

How Dom and Brian will reunite in Fast & Furious X: Part 2 remains unclear. If Brian were to appear in the final film, Paul Walker would likely be digitally recreated.

The last instalment of the franchise, Fast & Furious X, was released in May 2023. The tenth film starred Vin Diesel, Alan Ritchson, Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Rita Moreno, and Brie Larson, and went on to gross around 700 million dollars worldwide.
