A throwback to the day Vayu was born
As reported by Bollywood Shaadis, at an event in Mumbai in 2023, Sonam opened up on what she calls “the most magical moment” of her life. She shared that nothing compared to the overwhelming rush of emotion she felt when her baby boy was placed in her arms moments after his birth. Sonam revealed that she had a natural delivery and was surrounded by her closest loved ones.Her husband Anand was right beside her, while her parents, sister Rhea Kapoor, and in-laws were also present. This made the day even more special, she said and went on to add that the doctor who delivered her baby was a close family friend. According to her, “It was just the best moment of my life… truly life-changing.”
How Sonam kept her pregnancy simple and healthy
Opening up about her pregnancy journey, Sonam revealed that her doctor in London advised her to follow a balanced, anti-inflammatory diet, consisting mostly of Indian food. Her meals included dal, roti, vegetables, and occasionally chicken, fish, and curd. She combined it with regular walking and light exercises. Celebrating Vayu’s first birthday
For her son’s first birthday, the actress went the traditional way and held a special puja together with the family. Dressed in matching traditional outfits, Sonam, Anand, and little Vayu looked adorable, especially the birthday boy in his green kurta-pyjama.
