
Actor Will Smith recently shared his Bollywood ambitions during his visit to Dubai. He was in the Middle East for the premiere of Pole to Pole with Will Smith. The actor expressed his interest in being part of a grand Bollywood production and revealed that he has held discussions with some of the biggest names in the Hindi film industry. Smith said he is keen on collaborating with Indian superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
Will Smith on his Bollywood dreams
Will Smith was speaking to Gulf News on the red carpet of his show. Recalling past conversations with Bollywood celebrities, he said, “I was talking to Salman. We had things we were discussing. I was trying to get into something with Big B, you know. He told me I could be Big W, so we were cool- we were sharing the title. There were a couple of things over the years, but nothing panned out.”
Smith also addressed his interest in being cast by Shah Rukh Khan. Speaking about the superstar, he said, “I want Shah Rukh to put me in something. Shah Rukh, what’s up?”
Will Smith had made a cameo in the 2019 film Student of the Year 2 produced by Karan Johar. The film starred Ananya Panday, Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff.
Will Smith’s work front
The Oscar-winning actor is currently awaiting the release of his television series Pole to Pole. The synopsis of the show reads: “Inspired by his late mentor to explore life’s big questions, Will Smith throws himself into incredible challenges for 100 days- skiing to the South Pole, catching a giant anaconda, milking a venomous tarantula, climbing mountains, and diving under the ice of the North Pole. He ventures from pole to pole in the company of scientists, explorers and local experts.” The series will stream on National Geographic from January 13.
Shah Rukh Khan`s work front
The superstar is currently shooting for King directed by Siddharth Anand. The film marks the theatrical debut of the superstar`s daughter Suhana Khan. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Raghav Juyal.
