Winter Olympic downhill skiing champion Breezy Johnson failed to add to her medal haul at the ongoing tournament in Milano Cortina after crashing out in the Super-G event on Thursday, but she ended up taking home a far more valuable piece of silverware in the form of an engagement ring, as her boyfriend Connor Watkins proposed to her near the finish line.
What made the proposal even more special was the engraving on the ring’s box, which contained the lyrics (“Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?”) of superstar singer Taylor Swift’s hit song Alchemy.

USA’s Johnson, 30, posted pictures of the heartwarming proposal on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: “Hey guys… meet Connor! My ex-boyfriend! And current fiancé!!! Thank you to everyone who made this moment possible. It was everything I ever dreamed of. Kind of like Connor!”
The story didn’t end here though. Pop star Swift, took cognizance of the incident and replied to Johnson’s post with another line from the same song. “Where’s the trophy? He just comes running over to me. CONGRATULATIONS,” wrote Swift.
