The much-anticipated TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is all set to kick off, with online ticket sales going live on December 26. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen District as the official ticketing partner for the fourth edition of the tournament.
This year, the WPL will be played across two venues – the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai and the BCA Stadium in Vadodara. The season opens on January 9, 2026, when Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) face the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in Navi Mumbai. The first leg will feature 11 matches, running from January 9 to 17.
After the Navi Mumbai matches conclude, the tournament shifts to Vadodara, where the remaining 11 fixtures, including the playoffs, will take place at the BCA Stadium.

Alongside RCB and MI, Delhi Capitals (DC), UP Warriorz (UPW), and Gujarat Giants (GG) are the other participating teams.
Last month, the player auction in New Delhi created plenty of excitement. A total of 277 players – 194 from India and 83 overseas – vied for 73 coveted slots, leading to some fierce bidding. India all-rounder Deepti Sharma became the tournament’s most expensive buy, joining UP Warriorz for Rs 3.2 crore. Meanwhile, Australian star Alyssa Healy went unsold, leaving fans and experts stunned.
