In a social media post, former India keeper and IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants’ assistant coach Parthiv Patel, wrote, “Shocked and angry to hear what happened in Kashmir today. While those responsible will be punished, and I’m sure they will, right now there’s a numb disbelief at the terrible acts and the manner in which it all happened. Praying for the souls of those who lost their lives in Pahalgam.”
Gambhir, former BJP MP and now the coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, wrote, “Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will pay. India will strike. #Pahalgam”

Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill wrote, “Heartbreaking to hear about the attack in Pahalgam. My prayers are with the victims and their families. Violence like this has no place in our country.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha arrived in Srinagar late on Tuesday evening and was given a brief account of the incident by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the presence of the LG, the DGP and other senior officials.
The Home Minister then went to the Raj Bhavan to chair a high-level security meeting. He will also meet the injured tourists and locals at the hospital in Srinagar, where they are being treated, and will visit the terror attack site on Wednesday.
Locals in Pahalgam took out a candlelight march against the cowardly terror attack on tourists.
