Moses Pullanthara netted a hat-trick as Mumbai Customs beat Republicans 4-3 in an exciting men’s league match of the 44th Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana (WCG) rink hockey tournament at Santacruz. Nikhil Pardeshi scored the winner for Customs. For Republicans, Dnyanesh Vijkape, Sagar N and Shreekishen scored a goal each.
In a veterans encounter, Sunday Sultans (SS) beat Savio Sports Hockey 4-3. Arun Barla, Nilesh Mane, Roger Mondia and S Pillay scored a goal each for SS while Ashish Franco, Roncy Patel and Shelton Carvalho reduced the margin for Savio Sports Hockey.
