India all out for 387, England lead by 2 runs at stumps on Day 3

On Day 3 of the third Test match against England, Team India was bowled out for 387 runs. With this, the visitors` first innings ended with the score tied at the Lord`s Cricket Ground.

Later, after opening the second innings for England, Zak Crawley scored two runs in six balls, and Ben Duckett did not face any balls. The hosts will resume Day 4 with a lead of two runs.

Team India`s opening batsman KL Rahul`s century was the highlight of the match. Facing 177 deliveries, the right-hander scored 100 runs, including 13 boundaries. He also became only the second Indian batter to score more than one hundred at Lord`s after Dilip Vengsarkar. Accompanying him was India`s vice-captain Rishabh Pant, who scored 74 runs in 112 balls, including eight boundaries and two maximums.

After Pant, India`s all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Kumar Reddy batted for a while on Day 3 of the third Test. Having played 131 balls, Jadeja garnered 72 runs, including eight boundaries and a maximum. On the other hand, Nitish smashed 30 runs in 91 balls with the help of four boundaries.

Washington Sundar gave the finishing touches as he scored 23 runs in 76 balls, which was laced with a boundary and a maximum. Akash Deep could only manage to score seven runs in 10 balls, including a maximum. Jasprit Bumrah departed after facing eight balls, but could not manage to open his account. After facing two balls, Mohammed Siraj stayed unbeaten without scoring any runs.

Chris Woakes was the most successful bowler for England as the pacer claimed three wickets for 84 runs in 27 overs. Lead pacer Jofra Archer bagged two wickets for 52 runs in 23.2 overs. Along with Archer, skipper Ben Stokes, too, bagged two wickets by conceding 63 runs in 20 overs. Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir registered one wicket each to their names. Carse completed 24 overs and leaked 88 runs, whereas Bashir, in his spell of 14.5 overs, was smashed for 59 runs. Having bowled 10.1 overs, Joe Root was smashed for 35 runs.
