Sinner-Swiatek’s awkward dance steals spotlight at Wimbledon ball: WATCH

Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek, the 2025 Wimbledon singles champions, impressed not only with their on-court heroics but also off it, as they graced the traditional Champions’ Dinner on Monday. Fresh from their historic wins, the duo turned heads at the formal black-tie event, held the evening after the men’s final, and a dance.

The Champions’ Dinner, though not as old as the tournament itself, has become a well-loved tradition since its introduction in 1977. It offers a moment of celebration for players after a gruelling fortnight at SW19. This year’s edition, attended by tennis stars, dignitaries, and invited guests, saw Sinner and Swiatek step onto the dance floor in what has become a symbolic part of the evening.

The official Wimbledon account on X shared posts, with the two champions sharing a lighthearted dance that quickly gained attention. Sinner looked sharp in a perfectly tailored black suit and tie, while Swiatek came dressed in a flowing purple gown.

The evening capped off a memorable tournament campaign. Sinner, who had shown consistent form throughout the competition, benefited from a fourth-round walkover after Grigor Dimitrov’s unfortunate injury. He then upped his level dramatically, defeating tennis legends Novak Djokovic in the semifinals and Carlos Alcaraz in a hard-fought final to clinch his maiden Wimbledon title.

Swiatek’s journey was equally inspiring. Coming into the tournament with questions surrounding her ability on grass, she silenced critics with a commanding run. After navigating a few testing encounters early on, she peaked at the perfect time. In the final, she dismantled Amanda Anisimova in straight sets, not allowing her opponent a single game point, that secured her first Wimbledon crown. The triumph also completed her Grand Slam set, adding grass to her previous titles on clay and hard courts.
