The latest Weekend Ka Vaar had Salman Khan throwing sharp insights and tough questions at Gaurav Khanna and Mridul Tiwari for their lack of participation and passive gameplay in the Bigg Boss 19 house. Noting that the growing opinion of the housemates that Gaurav does not deserve to be on the show’s thumbnail, Salman slammed his minimal presence in the game, urging him to rethink his strategy. Similarly, he called out Mridul Thakur, questioning his individuality.
Salman Khan questions Gaurav Khanna
When asked about the criticism from the housemates, Gaurav admitted, “They think I don’t play on the front foot.” Salman responded, saying, “They are right. Aapka hafta mimicry aur dance mein hi gaya hai itna zyada ki aapka dhyaan ghar ke important muddon par nahi tha, Farrhana ke performances dekhte rahe. Fans might think your footage is getting cut, but how do we tell them ki you’re only not making it to the cut.”
Salman further challenged Gaurav with a reality check, saying, “Is ghar mein survive karne ke liye magic mantra chahiye, aur aap iss week kuch zabaradast sawalon ke answers dhundhne nikal pade. Jaise—Tanya baklava khane Dubai tak kyu jaati hai jab ghar mein mudde chal rahe hain, ye aapke dimag mein aata hai. Aap bataiye, ek average daily soap ka telecast time hota hai 30 minutes, total 220 minutes mein ek lead actor at least 180 minutes nazar aata hai. Yaha ke 450 minutes mein aap apne hisaab se foreground mein ya passing mein kitne minutes dikhte honge? Main aapko batata hoon—400 minutes mein aap sirf 20 minutes nazar aaye ho.”
Questioning his role in the pirate task, Gaurav said, “It was our strategy to study other teams’ players and send people accordingly. We sent the girls first, then later played accordingly. I wanted to play, but…” Salman interrupted asking, “Aapka ghar mein jo dikh raha hai, ye aapka asal kirdaar hai? Are you getting intimidated by other contestants’ talents? You need to speak up on muddas. How are you getting performance pressure on that? This is a competition of the mind to tackle issues rightly. You’re an intelligent man why are you not using it?”
Defending his stance, Gaurav said, “I like to stay aloof from all the abuses and aggression that happens during tasks.” Salman was in no mood to calm down and delivered a sharp reality check, saying, “Your role in the house is like a star cameo, jo poster mein nazar aata hai, but picture mein nahi dikhte.”
Salman Khan lashes out at Mridul Thakur
Salman Khan later turned his attention to Mridul, questioning his individuality and visible presence inside the house. Drawing comparison to Gaurav, Salman said, “Jitne bade Gaurav hai TV pe, utne bade aap social media pe ho. But if you haven’t bought your followers, why have they followed you? And now that you’re not visible in the show, will they continue to like you?”
Salman further pointed out, “Sometimes you’re with Natalia, sometimes with Gaurav — you’re always showing up in the +1 category. Your personality inside the house is very different from the one people see on your channel. You’re not giving any solo opinions; you’re always seen under someone’s shadow.” Agreeing with this criticism, Mridul admitted that he, too, has been feeling the same.
