He further said that two festivals are going to start from tomorrow: Navratri and A. GST Bachhat Festival (GST Savings Festival).

“From the first day of Navratri, the country is taking another important step towards a self -sufficient India. From tomorrow, the next generation GST reforms will be implemented with sunrise. ‘GST Bachat Utsav’ will also begin, which will increase your savings,” PM Modi said.

He said, “This improvement is not only about reducing prices, but also about creating new opportunities. Our middle class saving will increase, our youth will benefit, and the entire economy will gain momentum,” he said.

PM Modi slam the last tax regime

Highlighting GST in the indirect tax system before the GST rolled, the Prime Minister said that for decades, people and traders of India were entangled in a web of various taxes.

“When India began the GST reform in 2017, it marked the beginning of changing history and started creating a new. For decades, the people of our country and traders of our country were entangled in a web of various taxes.

He said, “Actroi, entry tax, sales tax, excise, VAT, service tax- There are such taxes in our country. To send goods from one city to another, we had to cross countless posts,” he said.

GST realized ‘One Nation-One Tax’ Dream

The Prime Minister also said how GST was rolled, companies used to tolerate high costs, while the common man struggled because those expenses were essentially passed through cascading levy.

“I remember, in 2014, an interesting incident was published in a foreign newspaper that described the difficulties of a company. The company said that if it was to send his belongings from Bangalore to Hyderabad, 570 km away, it was so difficult that they consider it to consider it and he said that the company would have to send its goods first and then send goods from Europe.

“Friends, it was the situation at that time that was due to the complications of taxes and tolls … at that time, with millions of such companies, with millions of countrymen, due to the labyrinth of various taxes, faced daily problems. Increased expenses incurred in goods transport from one city to another were given birth by the poor, and it was necessary to free you from this situation.” He said.

PM Modi said that GST was the top priority for his government. He said that India’s largest tax improvement became possible by taking all the states on board.

The Prime Minister said, “It was the result of the efforts of the Central and State Governments that the country was freed from the web of dozens of taxes, and a similar system was established for the whole country. The dream of ‘One Nation, One Tax’ was felt.”

Improvement is a continuous process

PM Modi further stated that reform is a continuous process, and as time changes and national requirements develop, the next generation improvement becomes equally necessary.

“When the time changes, changes in the needs of the country and the next generation reforms are required. Keeping in mind the current reforms of the country, new reforms are being implemented,” he said.

He emphasized that these new GST reforms are being implemented, keeping in mind the current needs of the country and future aspirations. He said that under the new structure, only 5% and 18% tax slabs will remain mainly. This, he commented, means that most of the daily use items will become more affordable.

He listed foods, medicines, soaps, toothbrushes, toothpastes, health and life insurance among many goods and services, which would either be tax-free or only attract 5% tax.

He further said that earlier 12%, 99%was taxed, which has now been brought under 5%tax bracket.

He further said that due to GST reforms, citizens will be able to save Rs 2.5 lakh crore this year.

25 crore people play an important role as a new middle class

The Prime Minister said that in the last eleven years, 25 crore Indians emerged from poverty, which he had described as a dynamic new-middle class with his own aspirations.

He emphasized income tax exemption as well as GST reforms for those who earn up to Rs 12 lakh, saying that the poor and new class sections of the society will get “double bonnaja” (double joy) as now it will be easy for them to fulfill their dreams.

“This year, the government presented a gift by receiving tax-free and natural income of up to Rs 12 lakh, when income tax relief is allowed up to Rs 12 lakh, the middle class life goes through a deep change, which is for much simplicity and convenience about simplicity and convenience. Dreams …” He said.

He also said that he is moving forward by following the mantra of the government. Citizen gods

He said, “We are moving forward by following the mantra of Nagrik Devo Bhava, and we can see its reflection in the next generation GST reforms,” he said, citizens who run the government’s economic policies, underlining the first philosophy.

MSME push

Emphasizing that an unwavering commitment is required for the path of self-sufficiency to achieve the goal of a developed India, PM Modi said that India is a major responsibility in making MSMES-India subtle, small and cottage industries self-sufficient.

Emphasizing that MSMEs were the backbone of India’s ‘Golden Economic Years’, he said that GST reforms would strengthen him again, urging them to urge them to produce top-quality products that increase India’s global reputation.

He said, “Our MSMEs, small industries and cottage industries will benefit greatly by decrease in GST rates and simplification of rules and processes. Their sales will increase, and they will have to pay tax, which means they will also get a double benefit,” he said.

PM Modi’s push for make in India

He also created a strong pitch to promote ‘Swadeshi’ items and said that the GST reforms of the next generation will speed up India’s development story, make it easier to trade and attract more investors.

He insisted that all the states would be the same stakeholder in the race for development and urged them to keep in mind ‘self -reliant India’ and indigenous campaigns.

Urged the people of the country to take pride in selling and buying indigenous goods.

The way the freedom of the country was strengthened by the indigenous movement, similarly, India’s prosperity will be empowered by the mantra of ‘Swadeshi’, he said.

He said, “We have to make every house an indigenous symbol, decorate every shop with indigenous products. Proudly says,” I buy indigenous, I sell indigenous. It should be the mood of every Indian, “he said.

The Prime Minister also said that GST reforms will accelerate India’s development story as it will make business easier, make investment attractive and support all states in the race for development.

,Tyohaaro ke Iss Mausam Mein Sabka Muh Meatha Hoga. Every family of the country will grow up… I congratulate my heartfelt congratulations and wish millions of families across the country for the next generation GST reforms and ‘Bachhat Utsav’. These reforms will accelerate India’s development story, simplify business, make investment more attractive, and make every state a similar partner in the race for development, ”he said.

GST rationalization

In its 56th meeting earlier this month, the GST Council announced a major overhaul in the indirect taxation system, aimed at simplifying slabs, promoting consumption and rationalizing rates.

A new two-level structure of 5% and 18% with a demerit rate of 40% reserved for super luxury and sin goods will be applicable from tomorrow (22 September). The council, which included the union and state governments, unanimously supported the reforms.

Consumers will see essential commodities cheap from September 22, as many areas from FMCG to Auto have announced to pass the benefits of low GST earlier. This is likely to promote consumption during the festival season.

The objects that are inexpensive due to GST 2.0 reforms are ghee, ketchup, coffee and cheese, electronic devices and drugs such as kitchen staples.
