India A cricketer and teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who has made headlines for being one of the youngest prodigies in Indian cricket, was at the centre of light-hearted banter from his teammates ahead of the ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup in Doha. A video featuring Suryavanshi along with teammates Yudhvir Singh Charak and Gurjapneet Singh has gone viral on social media. In the clip, originally shared via Gurjapneet’s Snapchat account, the 28-year-old Yudhvir can be seen jokingly asking who between him and the teenager looks older. When Yudhvir points at Suryavanshi, the 14-year-old simply replies, “No comments.” The two senior players, both nearly double his age, continued to tease him about his hairstyle and accused him of using hair gel. Suryavanshi laughed it off and denied it, even swearing that he didn’t. The video has since gone viral, with the moment surfacing on social media as the team traveled to Doha.Watch the hilarious interaction here Suryavanshi, who holds the record for the second-fastest century in the Indian Premier League, has attracted a lot of attention for his age ever since Rajasthan Royals signed him at 13 ahead of IPL 2025. Questions surrounding his age remained prominent, given how he competed with such ease at the highest level.BCCI officials have previously stated that Suryavanshi is “knocking on the doors” of the senior national team, and his selection for India ‘A’ over the Under-19 squad shows the board’s confidence in his talent.

The India A squad has now arrived in Doha, as seen in photos and videos shared by players on social media. Gurjapneet’s latest posts also show the team training at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium ahead of the tournament opener on Friday, November 13. India A will begin their campaign against UAE before facing Pakistan A on Sunday and Oman on November 18 in the group stage of the Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2025.
