Looks like legal trouble does not seem to end for the makers of Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 and host Kiccha Sudeep. After being accused of violating laws, the host has now come under scrutiny. A complaint has been filed against Sudeep, citing several serious allegations—including caste discrimination, physical assault, verbal abuse, and the humiliation of women.
Kiccha Sudeep in legal trouble
A complaint has been lodged with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission against the Colors Kannada reality show Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12.
The complaint was submitted by social activist Sandhya Pavithra N, who specifically named three individuals: the show’s host and actor Kiccha Sudeep, along with contestants Ashwini Gowda and Rashika.
As per a report by India Today, the complaint alleges that Sudeep made remarks that were insulting and aggressive toward contestant Rakshita, thereby promoting disrespectful behaviour toward women. It further claims that contestant Rashika physically assaulted fellow contestant Malavalli Nataraj (Gilli) during an episode. Lastly, the complaint targets contestant Ashwini Gowda, who is said to be associated with Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, for allegedly making caste-based comments, mocking Rakshita’s background, and using coded references such as “S Category” to imply Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe identity.
The controversy erupted after Sudhi referred to Rakshita using the Kannada term “sede,” a word considered disrespectful in this context. Though Sudhi later apologised, the matter didn’t end there. Sudeep addressed the issue during his trademark “panchayat” session, calling out both Sudhi and Ashwini for their repeated personal attacks and lack of respect inside the house.
Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming movies
The Sandalwood actor has wrapped up the shoot for his mass action entertainer Mark after more than 100 days of intense work and numerous call sheets. Sharing a group picture with the team, Kiccha Sudeep revealed that Mark is the result of a collective effort, achieved one day at a time.
Mark is directed by Vijay Karthikeyaa, who also helmed Sudeep’s 2024 hit Max. Along with Kiccha Sudeep, the core cast includes Naveen Chandra, Deepshikha, Yogi Babu, and Gopalkrishna Deshpande, among others. Produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films, the movie features music scored by Ajaneesh Loknath. The movie is expected to be released in theatres during Christmas this year.
