Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres believes they can finally put an end to their English Premier League title drought that has spanned 21 years.
The Gunners last clinched the English top flight trophy in the 2003-04 season, in the last three campaigns they finished runners-up, falling short in the second half of the season, but Gyokeres reckons they’ll go the distance this time.
Optimism all around
“We are all optimistic. I believe the team has a strong spirit and a positive atmosphere at the training ground. It is important to maintain that energy, keep doing the things that are working well, and continue improving together every day. Right now, we are focusing on winning the upcoming games rather than thinking too much about the end goals, “ Gyokeres said in an interview.

Arsenal are currently leading the EPL table with 39 points, with Manchester City two points behind them.
The Sweden international also hailed manager Mikel Arteta’s tactics and man management, which has gone a long way in putting Arsenal on the path to success.
‘Arteta is excellent’
“I think he is an excellent manager, especially in terms of our style of play. Equally important is his ability to understand the different personalities within the team and tailor his approach to each player. He excels at that. His determination and strong will to succeed inspire everyone. His energy is felt not only during training sessions but also before matches,” Gyokeres, who scored the winner in Arsenal’s recent 1-0 win over Everton, told JioHotstar.
