Akashay Kumar’s much-anticipated 2026 release ‘Bhooth Bangla’ finally has a release date! The film had earlier been slated for release in April; however, this was postponed as it clashed with the release of ‘Dhurandhar 2.’ Now, the makers of the film have officially announced the final dates of the film’s release, and the fans cannot seem to get enough.
Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ gets an official release date
In a post shared online by the makers, they confirmed that the film will now be released in theatres across the country on May 15. The new poster along wth the official release date was shared online along with the caption, “Bangle se ek khabar aayi hai! The doors open on 15th May 2026. See you in cinemas #BhoothBangla.” With this film, actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan will be working together again after 14 years. Other than Kumar, the film also stars names like Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Jisshu Sengupta, Asrani, and Wamiqa Gabbi.The film was shot across various locations, which include Rajasthan, Jaipur, and Hyderabad.
Plot of ‘Bhoot Bangla’
The horror comedy film is set around the story of a mysterious and haunted mansion. It is said to revive and bring back the slapstick horror-comedy genre to the forefront, with Akshay Kumar’s talented acting taking the centre stage. Not much has been revealed about the main plot of the film; however, since last year, the cast of the film has been teasing the project, leaving fans buzzing about its release.
