Veteran actor and television personality Archana Puran Singh recently found herself overwhelmed with emotion after her son Ayushmaan Sethi spoke openly about her battle with a rare and painful health condition. The heartfelt moment was shared through a family vlog during their holiday in London, where Ayushmaan praised his mother’s strength and resilience during what he described as one of the most difficult phases of her life.
Ayushmaan talks about Archana Puran Singh`s diagnosis
In the video, Ayushmaan revealed that Archana developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) after injuring her wrist while shooting for the film Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video in 2025. Speaking candidly, he said, “I am proud of my mom. She has had the hardest year, guys. She broke her hand and developed a rare condition called CRPS, which means her hand is never going to be the same again.” His words visibly moved Archana, who struggled to hold back tears.
Ayushmaan went on to highlight his mother’s incredible work ethic despite her condition. He shared, “She has shot for two to three movies and a web series. At one point, she worked 30 days straight without complaining.” Emphasising her determination to keep evolving, he added, “At 60-something years old, she has started a YouTube channel and all these cool new things. That’s just incredible.”
Captioning the video, Ayushmaan wrote, “Before the year ended, I just wanted to tell my family how proud I am of them. I think we all need to do more of that.” The message struck a chord with viewers, many of whom praised the bond between mother and son.
Archana, deeply touched by the tribute, responded emotionally in the vlog. She said, “It is such a beautiful reel. These are happy tears. I don’t think anybody has made such a reel for me. I am so proud of you.” She also fondly noted that her son had not even mentioned himself in the video, calling the gesture selfless and thoughtful.
