What did the exit polls say?

Ahead of the results, exit poll projections have shown the BJP-led Mahayuti leading in the BMC elections. According to the JVC exit poll, the BJP+ alliance is likely to get 138 seats, while the Shiv Sena (UBT) alliance is likely to get 59 seats.

A similar estimate was made by Axis My India, which said that the BJP alliance could win 131-151 seats, while the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena alliance would win 58-68 seats.

Counting of votes for BMC will take place in batches. According to reports, SEC officials have said that counting of two constituencies will be done at a time.
