Harmanpreet Kaur praises Mardaani 3, demands action for crimes against women

Ever since Yash Raj Films unveiled the trailer of Mardaani 3, it has become the biggest talking point in the Hindi film industry. Unanimously positive appreciation has been pouring in from all quarters for Rani Mukerji. The trailer has moved Indian women’s cricket team captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, so much that she called for swift and exemplary punishment for perpetrators of crimes against women.

The acclaimed franchise that focuses on crimes against women will now highlight the issue of young girls aged 8-9 years, from low-income groups, who are kidnapped for a specific reason from across our country. 

She took to her Instagram Stories to reshare the trailer and pen her thoughts on it. She wrote, “Swift and example setting punishment is the need of the hour for crimes against women! Mardaani3 trailer is insane can’t wait to watch the film”

Harmanpreet also thanked the police force of the country for constantly trying to protect girls and women of India. She said, “Love our police force who are always there to protect us every day.”

Harmanpreet Kaur Bhullar is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder and captains the Indian women`s national team. She captained the Indian team that won the 2025 Women`s Cricket World Cup, the Women`s Asia Cup in 2012, 2016 and 2022, and the gold medal in the 2022 Asian Games.

Under her captaincy, the Indian women`s team achieved its first bilateral Women`s One Day International (WODI) away series win against England since 1999 in 2022, the first-ever Test victory over Australia in 2023, and the first Women`s Twenty20 International (WT20I) series win against England in 2025.
