Ever since veteran actor Dharmendra died on November 25, 2025, the Deol family has found itself under the media scanner. Rumours had been rife that relations between Hema Malini’s daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, and Dharmendra’s sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, from his first marriage with Prakash Kaur, have been rocky. However, Sunny has seemingly put all speculation to rest as the three half-siblings happily posed together with Esha and Ahana at a special screening of his film Border 2 in Mumbai hosted by the Dhoom actress.

Sunny united with Esha Deol and Ahana Deol at the screening of his film Border 2 on Sunday in Mumbai. Several videos of their meeting have surfaced on social media from the screening hosted by Esha Deol.
The videos captured Esha and Ahana posing on two sides of Sunny, as they arrived for the special screening of Border 2. Sunny rested his hands on their shoulders. Esha was seen dressed in casuals in a black-and-white checkered shirt paired with jeans, while Sunny opted for an off-white shirt with matching trousers. He completed his look with a black baseball cap. On the other hand, Ahana sported a sky-blue shirt and jeans.
The half-siblings waited and posed for the cameras before smiling and thanking the paparazzi. They then made their way inside the theatre. Sunny was also seen attentively guiding his sisters towards the screening venue.
Deol family rumoured rift
The rumours around an alleged family rift surfaced last year when the two families hosted two separate prayer meets in Dharmendra’s honour after his death. One was hosted by Sunny Deol and the other by Hema Malini and her daughters. Dharmendra passed away on November 24 last year at his residence in Mumbai. He was 89 years old.
Dharmendra was earlier married to Prakash Kaur, whom he married before gaining stardom. The two had four children together, sons Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and daughters Ajieta and Vijeta Deol. He later married Hema Malini, with whom he has two daughters, named, Esha and Ahana Deol.
