PAK vs AUS, Squad details

For the visitors, four big-name faces, including captain Pat Cummins, alongside Josh Hazlewood, Tim David, or Nathan Ellis, are not going to take part in the series. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell has been given some additional time off ahead of the T20 World Cup.

According to reports on ESPNCricinfo, the captain, Mitchell Marsh, alongside Josh Inglis, are not expected to take part in the series opener as well.

For Pakistan, as always, Babar Azam will be in focus following his disastrous Big Bash League campaign. But that has not deterred the captain’s faith nonetheless. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi will make his return after his BBL stint was cut short due to injury. Among the notable misses are Haris Rauf, who has been a mainstay in the squad and BBL’s highest wicket-taker for the season, but not part of the upcoming series or the T20 World Cup.
