Hudson Williams, the star of the breakout Canadian drama series ‘Heated Rivalry’ had all eyes on him as he got cheeky in the company of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. The actor joined the cast and creators of the hit show at a gala in Ottawa, held to promote the country’s film and television industry.The actor, who has been on a roll, attending various events, gracing the covers of top magazines and even becoming the torchbearer for the Olympic games, added another feather to his decorated hat when he put on an amusing show with the PM. While Hudson was seen goofing around, posing for photos, the actor cordially greeted the PM with a handshake and presented him with jacket resembling the now-iconic Team Canada fleece worn by his character on the show.

However, it was their cute and hilarious interaction that earned laughs at the event and soon went viral on social media. On the red carpet, the prime minister, visibly amused, ecstatically put on the jacket over his suit and asked Hudson to “Do the leg thing”, gesturing him to pose with one leg over his waist as he held on to it and had a hearty laugh, making the shutterbugs click happy.

As per reports, PM Carney praised the show’s creators, cast and showrunners for the success of ‘Heated Rivalry’, its unapologetically Canadian identity and its prominent 2SLGBTQ+ storyline. He noted show creator Jacob Tierney‘s decision to keep the project in Canada. He said, “So Jacob did the right thing. He did the smart thing. He came home to Canada. He came home to a nation that celebrates what makes us different.”
