Macaulay Culkin and his onscreen mother, Catherine O`Hara, are one of the most loved onscreen mother-son duo in the Christmas comedy franchise Home Alone. Paying a heartwrenching tribute to Catherine, Macaulay shared beautiful photos of the two showing their bond over the years. He penned an emotional note that read, “Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later.”
Dan Levy`s pens emotional note
Dan Levy, whose chemistry with Catherine aka Moira Rose in Schitt`s Creek was also widely appreciated also penned an emotional note. Remembering his onscreen mother, Schitt`s Creek’s David Rose wrote, “What a gift to have gotten to dance in the warm glow of Catherine O’Hara’s brilliance for all those years. Having spent over fifty years collaborating with my Dad, Catherine was extended family before she ever played my family. It’s hard to imagine a world without her in it. I will cherish every funny memory I was fortunate enough to make with her. My heart goes out to Bo, Matthew, Luke and every member of her big, beautiful family.”

Two-time Emmy-winning actor Catherine O`Hara, who featured in Home Alone and Schitt`s Creek among others, passed away aged 71 following a brief illness. Her manager confirmed the news. According to her agency CAA, O`Hara breathed her last at her home in Los Angeles.
Born in Toronto, O`Hara became a well-known figure in Los Angeles. The actress is survived by her husband, production designer Bo Welch, and sons Matthew and Luke, as well as siblings Michael O`Hara, Mary Margaret O`Hara, Maureen Jolley, Marcus O`Hara, Tom O`Hara and Patricia Wallice.
