Eric Murphy, son of famed actor Eddie Murphy, is on his way to becoming a father himself! The star announced that he and his beau, Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin Lawrence, are expecting their first baby. The two tied the knot almost 10 months ago.

The beloved couple took to their social media accounts to share the good news with the world. The two posted the caption “Thank you, Jesus, for the greatest gift (heart emojis)” along with a series of photos of Lawrence showing off her pregnant baby belly. The first photo is in black and white, and shows Jasmine holding on to her belly while smiling at the camera, wearing a beautiful off-shoulder white bodycon dress. Murphy is seen kneeling beside her as he sits next to her, holding onto her belly as well. The following photos were in color and were of the mom-to-be basking in the sunlight as she showed off her belly.

Granddad-to-be Martin Lawrence took to his social media to share the photos along with an adorable caption. The ‘Bad Boys for Life’ actor wrote, “What a blessing to start the day! My heart is overflowing with love and gratitude after the announcement of my first grandchild!”He continued sharing, writing that “Watching @jasmin_lawrence and @ericmurphy777 begin this journey into parenthood means everything to me. In May 2025, the couple got married in an intimate wedding ceremony, which was later confirmed by ‘Dr Doolittle’ actor Eddie Murphy. He had appeared on the ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’ podcast and confirmed the news. He had stated at the time that, “They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them.”
