Shubhangi Atre calls it an incredible journey

Calling the journey unforgettable, Shubhangi said, “It’s been an incredible journey. I joined the show in 2016 and I did it for 10 years. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. I put my heart and soul into this character, and till my last breath, Angoori will stay in my heart.” Reflecting on her long association with the show, she added, “It’s been a wonderful journey. I learned a lot and met such amazing co-actors.”

She fondly mentioned her colleagues, including Rohitashv Gour, Aasif Sheikh, Rakesh Bedi, Yogesh Tripathi, and others, giving special praise to Shoma Rathod, who plays Amma ji. “Shoma is my favourite character. Have you ever seen such beautiful chemistry between a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law?” she said, expressing gratitude to the channel and producers. “Characters like Angoori are rarely written. I feel extremely lucky that I got to play her for 10 years and now a film. It’s truly a blessing.”

Talking about shaping Angoori over the years, Shubhangi explained how personal experiences influenced her portrayal. “Whatever character you play as an artist is an extension of your personality, your experiences, your observations,” she said, adding that growing up around housewives helped her understand Angoori’s simplicity and emotional world. “The beauty of Angoori is that she finds love even when Tiwari calls her ‘Pagli’. She cherishes it.”

On committing fully to the role, she shared, “Whatever you do, your presence should be 100 percent. For the last 10 years, I was completely there.
