BLACKPINK star LALISA is in her rom-com era.The K-pop star, who made her acting debut with ‘The White Lotus’ season 3, is now all set to make a splash with her next big venture- a romantic comedy inspired by the 1999 classic ‘Notting Hill’, starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.

As per an official announcement by Netflix, “LISA will star in a new “Notting Hill-inspired” romantic comedy feature for Netflix written by Katie Silberman (Booksmart, Set It Up)!”While Netflix has yet to officially reveal the film’s title, plot details, co-stars, or release timeline, the project is being described as a modern, Notting Hill-style rom-com with LISA in the lead. This will mark another major step in her expanding career beyond music and also marks her first project in a leading role.

The update comes just weeks after news broke that LISA would take on an action-packed role in the film ‘TYGO’, a spin-off from the Chris Hemsworth-led ‘Extraction’ universe. The film will see her starring alongside Ma Dong-seok and Lee Jin-wook.

While she has been scooping up several acting gigs, LISA is also balancing her music career. After releasing her debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’, the star will soon drop new music with her K-Pop girl group, BLACKPINK. As per the latest reports, the superstars will drop their new mini-album, ‘Deadline’, in less than a month. LISA along with Rose, Jisoo and Jennie unveiled the new music tracklist featuring five songs. These will reportedly include titles namely, “JUMP,” “GO,” “Me and my,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy.”
