Alia Bhatt idolized Ranbir Kapoor since her teens, even requesting a photo with him at 15. Their professional collaboration on ‘Brahmastra’ (2022) deepened her admiration into-love. Back when she was very young , she first admired Ranbir Kapoor as her ultimate idol after watching him in films like ‘Saawariya’. On Koffee with Karan season 7, Alia Bhatt shared an intimate detail, “ When I was single after a very long time, everyone around me, my sis and friends said you and he (Ranbir Kapoor) are going to be together. We talked about it on our flight.”
Years later, her wishes came true when Ranbir Kapoor proposed her “He went down on his knees, and I was like, ‘Is this happening?’ It was so emotional; I cried happy tears,” Alia Bhatt shared on Koffee with Karan. Her childhood dream finally came true!
Reflecting later on NDTV, Alia added, “It’s not a relationship. It’s a friendship… I’m walking on stars and clouds right now.” The couple tied the knot in April 2022 at their Mumbai home, welcoming daughter Raha soon after.
