Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free premium ad-supported streaming service, recently dropped Amar Vishwas, a gripping courtroom drama that probes the fragile line between truth and justice. At its core are charged legal battles where every argument lands hard, and every pause carries consequence.
Digambir Dixit on what drew him to Amar Vishwas
Stepping into the role of Digambar Dixit, fondly known as DD, Ravi Behl shares what drew him to the narrative, “What really attracted me to the series was the character of Digambar Dixit. He’s a no-nonsense lawyer, sharp, unapologetic, and someone who carries a certain attitude and swag. That confidence, that presence, was incredibly appealing to portray. But what made it even more compelling was the constant conflict between DD and Amar Vishwas. Their face-offs are layered, intense, and deeply engaging.”
Reflecting on the demands of a courtroom drama, he adds, “Courtroom dramas rely heavily on dialogue and restraint. I wouldn’t call it challenging; it’s more about understanding when to hold back and when to let go. There’s a certain decorum that comes with the space, and within that, the battle between two lawyers unfolds. It’s hard work, but it’s good hard work, the kind that’s both demanding and exciting.”
About Amar Vishwas
The trailer opens with the brutal murder of an influential film producer Jessu Momin, a case the media is quick to label as ‘open-and-shut’. Suspicion immediately falls on Bahar Chakravarty, a young woman already convicted by public perception. Stepping into the fray is Amar Vishwas, an unconventional and razor-sharp lawyer who knows that facts alone rarely reveal the full story. As Amar takes on Bahar’s defence, he begins to uncover layers of exploitation, manipulation, and long-buried secrets, revealing a conspiracy that runs deeper and darker than it first appears.
Amar Vishwas blends the intensity of courtroom drama with the grit of investigative crime. As the case unfolds, Amar finds himself pitted against formidable legal minds, including his own former mentor, while racing against time to establish the devious trio of motive, means, and opportunity. With every argument, cross-examination, and revelation, the series raises an unsettling question: Will the truth finally lead to justice?
Created and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik D Nishandar under the banner of GSEAMS, Amar Vishwas also features a compelling cast, including Rajeev Khandelwal, Aamir Ali, and Barkha Bisht in pivotal roles. The series is now streaming exclusively for free on Amazon MX Player.
