Dhurandhar 2: Nagarjuna says Ranveer Singh-starrer `blew` his mind

Ranveer Singh`s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been storming the box office right from the day it hit the big screens. Released on 19th March, the film has quickly become one of the most-talked-about releases and has received positive reviews from the audience.

Several celebrities, such as Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Rajkumar Rao, Alia Bhatt, and more, have showered praise on the film. The latest to join the list is Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni.

Nagarjuna praises Dhurandhar 2

Nararjuna took to X to share his reaction after watching the film. He said that the film “blew” his mind and lingered in his mind for a long time. He also applauded the effort of Aditya Dhar and the entire team.

He wrote, “Saw this incredible film called Dhurandhar‌TheRevenge !!! What a ride ! It just blew my mind and I can’t stop thinking about it. This is one of those films that inspires and changes filmmaking!! Heartiest congratulations to this inspiring director AdityaDharFilms and also to the entire technical team, including camera, music, sound design, action, art….A big shoutout to all the ACTORS you were all so brilliant. So proud to say AnnapurnaStdios Hyderabad has processed Dolby Cinema for the film and South Indian languages localisation.”

Ramya slams Dhurandhar 2

Unlike Nagarjuna, actress-politician Ramya was not impressed with the film and took to X to slam it. She called out Aditya Dhar for promoting “propaganda and jingoism” and urged people not to waste money by watching it in theatres.

She wrote, “Just watched Dhurandhar 2 and wow! What a masterclass in how to turn something promising into an endurance test. If you really want to watch it, do yourself a favour, don’t waste your time or money in a theatre. Direction, dialogues, editing, background score, acting all consistently subpar. It genuinely feels like no one told them there was a March 19 release deadline approaching. Or worse, they knew and said, ‘Haan perfect hai, bhej do.’”

Ramya continued, “And the violence!!! This isn’t a movie; it’s basically a visual handbook on how creatively violent you can get with literally any object lying around. Syringe? Used. Spanner? Used. Knives, spiked balls, machetes, reapers, chains, guns, bombs, bazookas, shutters -you name it, they’ve weaponised it. The director seems to be in a constant competition with himself: ‘How do I make the next scene more violent/comical than the last?’”

“Dhurandhar 2 is a HUGE disappointment. Snoozefest/comedy at best. If Part 1 made you cheer, this one will make you question why Dhurandhar 2 why? Ranveer, you’re better than this. Aditya Dhar– jingoism and propaganda is so passe. Get over it,” the actress concluded.
