RCB to play five matches at home
The M Chinnaswamy Stadium has been confirmed as the home venue for five RCB matches in IPL 2026. The defending champions declared their return to the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium for IPL 2026, putting an end to months of speculation.
RCB announced that it will play five of its home games at Chinnaswamy Stadium and the final two at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
M. Chinnaswamy Stadium`s participation in the IPL was uncertain after RCB`s IPL celebration turned into a stampede, claiming 11 lives last year. Since then, the venue was barred from hosting high-level matches, but has been granted permission for the IPL.
The IPL opening match, one playoff match and the final will also be held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, KSCA secretary Santosh Menon said.
