When Mayank Yadav and Auqib Nabi were probably warming up for the LSG vs DC game at the Ekana stadium, there was an expectation that both men would be part of the playing XI for their respective sides. After all, Mayank set the stage on fire with his blistering pace, but was held back by the multiple injuries he has suffered since his debut in 2024. He seemed to be bowling full tilt ahead of the game and looked to be in good spirits.
For Nabi, the heroics with J&K in their maiden Ranji trophy title was enough for DC to shell out Rs. 8.4 crore to bring him into their side. Yet, once the team sheets came out, both men are missing from the playing XIs.
While the J&K pacer is the impact subs list, he is expected not to play a part in the game with Delhi bowling first and expected to bring in Ashutosh Sharma as their finisher for the game.
Mayank doesn’t find a place in the impact subs list with Digvesh Rathi expected to come in when Lucknow will be looking to defend the total.

NABI, MAYANK MADE TO WAIT
Mayank last played a match in the IPL in May 2025. The tearaway pacer has played just six matches since making his debut, but started off with the Player Of The Match performances in his first two games in the IPL. During this time, he has picked up nine wickets at 20.56.
Nabi’s sensational run in the Ranji Trophy saw him pick up 60 wickets in 17 innings at an average of 12.56.
