Nikhat will face a stern challenge in the semifinals against China`s Wu Yu, who won the 2024 Olympics gold medal.
In the women`s 60kg category, Priya showcased composure and maturity to defeat China`s Chengyu Yang 4-1. Priya will take on Mongolia`s Namuun Monkhor for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, in the women`s 54kg category, Preeti, the gold medallist at the World Boxing Cup Finals, produced one of the most clinical performances of the fifth day.
Preeti defeated Mongolia`s Mungun Tsetseg with a 5-0 unanimous decision victory, setting up a semifinal contest against Im Aeji.
Meanwhile, in the men`s 70kg category, Deepak exited the competition following a 1-4 loss to Jordan`s Zeyad Eashash in the quarterfinals.
