
Sony Pictures brought a chilling surprise to CinemaCon in Las Vegas, unveiling the first trailer for Insidious: Out of the Further, the sixth chapter in the long-running horror franchise, promising intense scares and a gripping supernatural story. The film is set to release in India on 21st August in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Featuring Amelia Eve as Gemma, the film hints at malevolent souls that continue to haunt her beyond realms, setting the stage for a terrifying showdown.
In Insidious: Out of the Further, Amelia Eve stars as Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, who discovers she can travel into The Further, the purgatorial realm of lost souls at the heart of the Insidious universe. When something evil comes after her, Gemma discovers an ability that changes everything: she doesn’t just enter The Further, she can bring what lives there back to the real world. Once the demons realize her power, our world becomes their playground.

Since the franchise’s debut in 2010, Insidious has become one of the most enduring and successful horror series of all time, grossing more than 740 million dollar worldwide. Directed by Jacob Chase, Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release Insidious: Out of the Further in India in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on 21st August, 2026.
Since it’s a prequel to the original films, 2010’s Insidious and 2013’s Insidious: Chapter 2, stars Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne won’t appear in the sixth entry. Instead, Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell, and Laura Gordon will lead the cast. Jacob Chase wrote and directed the film, with Jason Blum producing it.
Apart from Insidious, the big film that Sony studio is going to be talking about is Spider-Man: No Way Home. We`ve also got another Jumanji film, and Legend of Zelda could also get a shoutout along.
Talking about CinemaCon, the annual gathering of cinema owners and Hollywood studios, is hosted in Las Vegas by Cinema United, formerly known as the National Association of Theatre Owners. This year’s edition runs from April 13–16.
