In the IPL 2026 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerged victorious by four wickets at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

With an aim of chasing the target of 156 runs, the Knight Riders scored 161 runs for the loss of six wickets in 19.4 overs.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert and skipper Ajinkya Rahane registered one-ball and two-ball ducks, respectively. Impact Player Angkrish Raghuvanshi managed to score 10 runs in 19 balls, including a boundary. Cameron Green registered 27 runs in 13 balls, with the help of four boundaries and a maximum.

Rovman Powell was dismissed for 23 runs in 20 balls, which also included two boundaries and a maximum. Ramandeep Singh also departed on 10 runs in 13 balls, and also smashed a boundary.

Rinku Singh delivered a match-winning knock of an unbeaten 53 runs off 34 deliveries. His knock was laced with five boundaries and two maximums. Shouldering him was Anukul Roy, who scored an unbeaten 29 runs in 16 balls, with the help of a boundary and two maximums.

Earlier in the first innings of the match, having opted to bat first, RR`s swashbuckling opening batsman, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, played a knock of 46 runs off just 28 deliveries, including six boundaries and two maximums. Fellow opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 39 runs in 29 balls, with the help of four boundaries and two maximums.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel departed after scoring five runs in seven balls. Skipper Riyan Parag was dismissed on 12 runs. During his 14-ball knock, he smashed a boundary.

Donovan Ferreira scored seven runs in seven balls, including a maximum. Shimron Hetmyer departed after scoring 15 runs in 18 balls. Ravindra Jadeja returned to the pavilion after scoring nine runs in seven balls, with the help of a boundary. Ravi Bishnoi registered a two-ball duck. Jofra Archer lost his wicket on eight runs in five balls, which also included a boundary. Brijesh Sharma stayed unbeaten on one run in three balls. With this, the Royals posted a total of 155 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.

KKR`s mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy returned with the figures of four wickets for 14 runs in four overs. Having completed his quota of four overs, Kartik Tyagi claimed three wickets by leaking 22 runs. Sunil Narine also bagged two wickets by conceding 26 runs in his spell of four overs.
