Lisa Kudrow reveals Friends writers would use abusive language on sets

Hollywood actress Lisa Kudrow has called out the “mean” behaviour of the largely-male writers during the making of the iconic sitcom ‘Friends’. The actress who is now 62, essayed the role of Phoebe Buffay on the show.  She was close to the rest of the cast of the show including fellow female actresses Jennfier Aniston and Courteney Cox. Lisa recently revealed how tense the situation was behind the camera on the comedy series. She revealed that insults were hurled if an actor messed up their line and a culture of lewd discussions were also reported. 

Lisa on behaviour of writers on sets of Friends

Lisa told The Times magazine, “There was definitely mean stuff going on behind the scenes. Don’t forget we were recording in front of a live audience of 400, and if you messed up one of these writers’ lines or it didn’t get the perfect response they could be like, ‘Can’t the b**** f***ing read? She’s not even trying. She f***** up my line’”.
