BJP is not a party that was formed recently. It is an ideology-based party, and this development will definitely not have any impact. Anyone is free to start a political party. Everyone has this right in democracy. Annamalai’s resignation from BJP will not have any impact on the party. The allegation that state-level rights are not being given importance is wrong,” Nagendran said.

Speaking to reporters, Nagarajan said, “Annamalai will emerge as a leader liked by the people of Tamil Nadu. Many BJP functionaries have voluntarily come forward and expressed their support for Annamalai along with me.”And not just senior leaders. Many youth workers of the party have also openly announced their support to Annamalai.Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state legal convener Abhilash Gopinathan quit his post and primary membership of the BJP following Annamalai’s resignation.In his resignation letter, Gopinathan said that his decision was influenced by his confidence in Annamalai’s leadership and vision.The resignation letter reads, “My decision is driven by my conviction to follow the path and vision of Annamalai, whose leadership, integrity and commitment to public life inspired me to enter politics and influenced my political journey.”The response to Annamalai’s new movement has been equally impressive.
