• Noorani Mosque completely collapsed, work to remove debris continues: JDA’s Poklane and heavy cutter machines have completely demolished the concrete structure of the Noorani Mosque built in the middle of the road corridor. JCB machines have now reached the spot, are removing the debris and opening the road. Heavy police force is present at the spot.

• Mosque committee says notice came too late: The Noorani Masjid Committee has formally objected to the JDA’s prompt action and claimed that the demolition notice was served to them only on Friday night. Committee officials say the short period did not give them enough time to seek legal recourse or present their case before the bulldozers arrived.

• JDA says notice was issued two days ago: JDA officials backtracked saying that an official notice was given to Noorani Masjid two days before the demolition was carried out. The notice clearly stated that the mosque structure was built on illegally encroached land and its removal was necessary for the road widening project.

As JDA teams advance, a large permanent satsang hall used for public functions is also being demolished.

Special excavators and cutter machines are working continuously to bring down the huge construction in controlled demolition.

• Power cuts continue amid scorching heat, residents in distress: Electricity supply to the area – which was earlier cut to prevent sharing of live videos on social media during the operation – has not been restored. With the region already grappling with extreme heat, the prolonged blackouts have added to the woes of local residents, who live without electricity and internet simultaneously.

• Area sealed, residents confined to homes: Jaipur Police has imposed tight cordon around the entire sensitive area, blocking entry from all sides. No outsider is being allowed to enter the area. Local residents have been given strict instructions not to leave their homes until further notice, with the neighborhood effectively cordoned off as authorities work to maintain law and order.

• Security tightened in the walled city: As the Nandpuri operation continues, officials have expanded the security perimeter in other sensitive areas of Jaipur as a precautionary measure. Heavy police deployment has been made in the boundary wall (parkota) area including Ramganj, Badi Chaupar and Chhoti Chaupar to maintain peace and order in the entire city.

• Public problems are increasing due to call drop, network failure: With internet already suspended and power supply disrupted in the affected areas, mobile network connectivity has now collapsed in many areas. Residents are reporting frequent call drops and ‘no network’ signals, leaving many unable to reach family members in or around the operation area.

• More than 100 illegal structures have been demolished so far: JDA’s demolition campaign near Nandpuri underpass in Jagatpura has intensified rapidly. The authority’s teams have now demolished more than 100 big and small illegal constructions falling within the 80-foot road widening corridor.

• Section 144 imposed, ban on gathering of five or more: Strict prohibition is in force in the entire area. During the JDA action, gathering of five or more people at any one place will be completely prohibited. Officials have warned of immediate legal action against violations.

• Internet shutdown extended: Divisional Commissioner V. Saravan Kumar has issued a revised order extending the internet ban by another 24 hours – which will now be in effect from midnight of June 8 to midnight of June 9. All 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile data services are suspended in most police station areas of Jaipur North and Jaipur East. WhatsApp, Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram and all other social media platforms will remain blocked.

• Bulldozers are now facing the main structure of the mosque: After demolishing the rear portion of the Noorani Masjid, JDA’s heavy bulldozers and dumper trucks have moved towards the front of the structure. To keep the main road unobstructed, trucks are lined up at the site to remove the debris immediately after the demolition operation.

• The rear part of Noorani Mosque was completely demolished: The JDA enforcement team, working in the presence of heavy police and security agency, has completely demolished the rear portion of the Noorani Masjid, which falls on the right side of the road. The bulldozers have now turned towards the main front of the mosque.

• Water tankers deployed to control dust: To prevent increased stress or reduced visibility from rising dust clouds during demolition, the JDA has deployed special water tankers at the site. Water is being sprayed continuously with bulldozer action.

• Rooftop deployment, drone monitoring: Police personnel have been deployed on the rooftops of nearby buildings. Drone cameras are monitoring the area from the air while CCTV cameras cover the activities on the ground. Any suspicious activity is being tracked in real time.

• The structure of Noorani Mosque was demolished: The entire Noorani Mosque has been demolished in the ongoing action near Nandpuri underpass. Illegal residential structures and concrete constructions around the mosque have also been demolished.

• Entire area sealed, entry prohibited: Nandpuri locality has been completely sealed. No citizen is being allowed to enter. RAF units are deployed outside the Noorani Mosque and heavy police presence has been established at all sensitive points in the area.

• Section 163 imposed, internet shut down: Prohibitory orders are in place under Section 163, which bans gatherings of five or more people, rallies, processions and protests. Mobile internet has been shut down in identified police station areas. Authorities have warned of strict legal action against anyone spreading rumors or inflammatory material.

• Muslim community refused to vacate the place, demolished the Hindu structure itself: Before the operation, the Muslim community held a meeting and formally refused to remove the mosque. On the contrary, the management of both Hindu religious structures – two temples – voluntarily destroyed them before the JDA intervened.

• Operation begins at dawn with heavy police force: JDA along with several JCB machines and a large number of police forces launched an anti-encroachment operation in Nandpuri, Malviya Nagar on Monday morning. Senior JDA officials are personally monitoring the operations on the ground. Due to fear of sensitive demolition, heavy barricading was put up since late Sunday night.
