While some clinics chose not to disclose their client lists, others shared information but did not allow specific names to be mentioned. Let’s explore the health and wellness needs of India’s ultra-rich.

IV Drip Most Popular

The clinics have private rooms with restricted access, reserved only for clients who prefer to remain out of the public eye. Inside, you can see ultra-expensive handbags, rare collector’s wrist watches, and diamond rings worth several carats – all of which people wear to relieve the pressure of their busy lifestyles.

“People come to us and talk openly about their lifestyle challenges. Many have shared that networking is not possible unless beverages are involved. But we assure them that we support them through various services,” said Dr Preeti Nanda Sibal, MBBS from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh.

Although she didn’t allow us to mention the high-level clients she works with, the list includes teens and wives of popular executives and businessmen.

Far infrared saunas, ozone therapy and colon hydrotherapy are the best-selling services, but many women come regularly for intravenous, or IV, drips, particularly ‘Myer cocktails’. This IV drip is most popular at Nanda’s Peak Wellness Functional Medicine on Golf Course Road, which claims to provide a quick energy boost and have anti-aging effects.

An IV drip gives you fluids, vitamins, minerals, as well as other nutrients directly into the bloodstream through a small needle and bag. “People who come to me with a hangover from last night turn to Meier’s cocktail for detoxification. Many people come with migraine and ask for IV drip for migraine,” said Dr Nanda, adding that clients sometimes ask for IV drip for instant energy before going on holidays or business trips.

At Dr Nanda’s clinic, around six IV drips are administered every day, more than 150 per month.

Similarly, Dr Geetika Mittal Gupta of Issac Lux – which runs a chain of clinics across Delhi and on Golf Course Road – told News18 that a good number of her clients, who lead stressful lives or struggle with busy schedules, Come to them often. “Quick Treatment”.

“They do not have time to deal with redness and swelling on the face after the procedure and hence, they demand procedures that are safe and show immediate results. After IV drip, many other procedures are also in demand,” said Dr Gupta, who completed his MBBS from a government medical college in Patiala.

This clinic provides 20 types of IV drips. “This allows the body to absorb 100% of the nutrients, compared to about 20% typically absorbed from food and oral supplements,” Dr. Gupta said.

These doctors claimed that the IV drip is prepared with a mixture of antioxidants, electrolytes, vital fluids and vitamins as per the demand. From boosting collagen, treating migraines, detoxifying the kidneys and liver, and reducing stress – IV drips are one of the best-selling remedies at these wellness clinics.

Fees vary from clinic-to-clinic, ranging between Rs 2500 to Rs 15,000 per drip. These are usually sold in packages of 10 to 12 sittings.

Other popular services in this area include far-infrared sauna, colon hydrotherapy and oxygen therapy.

A far-infrared sauna is inspired by traditional Finnish saunas and is believed to promote sweating, detoxification and weight loss. At these centres, large machines are set at temperatures ranging from 42 to 50 degrees Celsius, where people sit comfortably, often making calls or reading magazines.

“Sauna plays a similar role to the sun in our lives. It stimulates our mitochondria, which increases energy production, detoxification and anti-aging benefits,” said Dr. Nanda.

Similarly, in colon hydrotherapy – which is available at several centers on Golf Course Road and Gurugram – a small tube is inserted into the rectum to allow warm, filtered water to flow into the colon. The speculum allows waste and toxins to pass out of the colon.

The therapy is carried out 18 to 20 times, in which the therapist massages the abdomen, assuming that the intestines have been completely cleared. The entire process of cleansing the bowels and removing old waste usually lasts 40 to 45 minutes.

Men with cholesterol problems choose physio, gym and chiropractic

Due to high-stress schedules, they are unable to exercise as much as they should to reduce weight or blood sugar levels and hence, they are looking for solutions. Some people are struggling to get a good night’s sleep while others are suffering injuries from playing tennis or badminton. Many clinics have sprung up in this upscale area, catering to the needs of its affluent residents.

For example: Top executives reach out to Health Sense Physio and Wellness Clinic for treatment of neck, heel or back pain caused by long working hours and excess screen time.

Director and physiotherapist Saurabh Mangal, who claims to have served rich and famous clients including a well-known CEO of a major automobile manufacturer and a fashion designer, says, “There is a lot of stress in the lifestyle of these executives and sometimes, they Struggles with insomnia.”

Mangal has previously worked with MS Dhoni’s fitness chain Sportsfit. Among many other treatments, one of his popular techniques is “manual therapy” which can put people to sleep in just 15 minutes.

“People often fall asleep on the couch for the next two to three hours,” Mars said.

The clinic also serves many people with diabetes or pre-diabetes, who come to use the in-house gym equipment recommended by Mars and other trainers.

Dr. Iqbal Ayub of Synchrony Chiropractic and Sports Physiotherapy Clinic described a similar experience, but with “chiropractic.” While at once, physio and chiropractic seem similar, the latter is a therapy using the hands to manipulate the spine or other parts of the body.

“If we get 100 new people every month, 50 of them come to us for chiropractic,” Ayoub said. He said this practice has gained momentum in India in the last one to two years.

Chiropractic and physiotherapy sessions start at around Rs 2,500 per session, but vary according to the technique and equipment used.

Women strive for weight loss, anti-aging, glowing skin

Most of Dr. Mittal’s clients include women between the ages of 25 and 50. “Nowadays, women are more aware and come much earlier to seek our services, whereas earlier, they used to come when it was often too late,” said Dr Mittal. ,

One of the best-selling services at the clinic is “MFace”, a non-invasive treatment to improve facial muscle structure, priced at Rs 15,000 per session. The other offering is called “Emsculpt Neo”, which is a non-invasive body-sculpting procedure to tone muscles and sculpt the body. It is chosen by women who often complain of not getting enough time to exercise or being unable to lose weight despite exercising.

“There are women who come to us and tell us that their body is not responding to weight loss in certain areas like buttocks, thighs, arms and legs. Many people come with post-pregnancy weight gain. “Emsculpt uses concentrated high-intensity electromagnetic technology, it’s like 20,000 crunches in 20 to 30 minutes and helps them get back into shape,” said Dr. Mittal.

Dr. Nanda has over two decades of experience and has worked in a variety of roles. She was a medical advisor to the publishing house Elsevier, which owns the famous medical journal The Lancet.

She is noticing that teenage children from wealthy families have a background of alcohol abuse, smoking, anxiety and depression. “Despite going for yoga and meditation, they keep complaining about these issues which can be cured by bowel cleansing services like colon hydrotherapy and hormonal balancing,” said Dr Nanda.

For these luxury-driven but hard-working individuals, maintaining peak performance and looking their best isn’t just an option – it’s a necessity.
