His departure, however, left guests bewildered.

One guest told the outlet, “It was the most unusual thing. People were taking pictures of Meghan on the stage, and Harry sort of rushed out. Really quickly. He didn’t wait for her to come off the stage, didn’t collect her from the stage. It was really odd.”The same guest added, “I sat there, and everyone kept going on about how handsome he was and how wonderful he was, but he just almost ran out. It just isn’t working out for Rinku Singh. The left-handed batter has looked a pale shadow of himself in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, and he can’t seem to buy a run at this point. His troubles compounded on Friday night at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad against the Gujarat Titans, where he lasted just two balls in the middle, scoring one run. In the five innings he has come out to bat this year, the KKR vice-captain has managed just 79 runs, with his highest being 33 not out against the Mumbai Indians.
To make matters worse, the KKR management has also not shown sufficient faith in the left-hander’s abilities, as the match against the Gujarat Titans proved. Even Anukul Roy was sent higher than Rinku, and he came out to bat at No.7. However, his stay was a short one as he was sent back to the hut by Kagiso Rabada.
Former India batter Manoj Tiwary wasn’t pleased with the behaviour towards Rinku in the match against Gujarat, saying the need of the hour is to give the batter confidence, but the management is destroying it further.
“You changed the entire batting order. You sent Anukul Roy higher up. You just sent Rinku Singh an indirect signal that you don’t have any faith in him. Whoever is thinking in their right mind would send Rinku higher up, as he has been your asset for such a long time,” said Tiwary on Cricbuzz.
“Just look at Rinku, when he came back after getting out. He was completely heartbroken. He knew, deep inside, that it shouldn’t have happened to him. When you had to build his confidence, you did the exact opposite by sending Rinku down the order. If KKR continue playing like this, they will remain at the bottom,” he added.
Winless KKR
The three-time champions are yet to get a win on the board and remain at the bottom of the points table with just 1 point from six matches. This is the worst-ever start for the franchise in any season of the IPL. Tiwary said that, looking at the recent performances, it’s clear that the team atmosphere isn’t right within the KKR setup.
“KKR fans have seen three titles. But this year, your main bowlers got injured, but it wasn’t like that; all the strength was taken away. The team was still strong. But something is not right, be it the atmosphere or the combination,” said Tiwary.
“It was a disappointing performance,” he added.
KKR will next face off against the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, April 19 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The measure replaces the previous 30-day waiver that expired on April 11.The decision marks a reversal from comments made just two days earlier by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who had said Washington would not extend waivers covering Russian or Iranian oil. “We will not be renewing the general license on Russian oil,” he said, adding, “That was oil that was on the water prior to March 11, so all that has been used.”The waivers form part of a broader attempt to manage volatility in energy markets during the ongoing US-Israeli war against Iran. Since the conflict began back on February 28, it has disrupted energy supplies across the globe. After US and Israel launched joint strikes on Iran, the country extended its control over the crucial Strait of Hormuz, effectively draining global oil and gas shipments. Prior to the war, about a fifth of the world’s energy flows passed through the route.As supplies squeezed, oil prices surged, affecting economies worldwide and placing additional pressure on countries reliant on energy imports. The earlier waiver issued on March 20 enabled around 140 million barrels of Iranian oil to reach global markets, helping to ease supply pressures, according to Bessent. Avinash Tiwary on female attention
As we ask if producers have a mandate for him to take off his shirt in films now, a flustered Avinash says he has been shirtless in only two films. That is, until his co-star Medha Shankr corrects him by reminding him of Madgaon Express. “That’s three films, then,” says Avinash, adding, “None of them was shown with a desirability factor. Even in O’Romeo, it was a macho thing.”
And contrary to what people think, the actor says he does not get too much attention from women in these scenes. “I think I got more (social media) DMs from men for that than from women. All the gym bros said, ‘Nice body, bro!’.” We ask if the female attention came more for a romantic film like Laila Majnu, and he says, “Yes, that one where the poor boy did not have one muscle.”
Avinash quips, “In this one, he is a pehelwan, so there is a shirtless scene in the akhara. But now I feel I want to do one just for desirability. I want to have a scene where I come out, get into a pool, come out and have girls look at me.”
‘I wouldn’t have minded getting married 5 years ago’
Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 is about a wedding gone wrong as both the bride and groom lie to get the match fixed. When asked about the similarities he has with his character Sunny, Avinash sheepishly admits that the ‘pressure’ of getting married is one of them. “Before family, I had put pressure on myself to get married. I genuinely wanted to get married. I really liked the idea of family, and I wanted to have kids. But when it doesn’t happen in life, a person moves on and finds new milestones. So, my journey became different. But your family likes to remind you that you are not going where you wanted to. That is bothersome sometimes,” he says.
Avinash says he believes in the institution of marriage, but the world increasingly does not. “The society we are living in today, in that, marriages will become only important if you want a family and kids. Then you need this institution of marriage, because it provides that. I wouldn’t have minded getting married 5-10 years ago, because I was in that space. And even today, if I desire it, it is for these very reasons,” he feels.
Written and directed by Prasshant Jha, Ginny Wedss Sunny 2 is a spiritual sequel to Ginny Weds Sunny (2020). Apart from Avinash and Medha, the film also stars Sudhir Pandey, Lillete Dubey, and Govind Namdev. It releases in theatres on April 24.

No more interest in Test cricket? Lalit Modi proposes exciting idea
The rising hype of T20 cricket has witnessed exciting tournaments such as the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Big Bash League (BBL) and the Pakistan Premier League (PSL) grow to the next level.
Amid the rise of the shortest format leagues, several cricket pundits are worried whether the traditional format of the game, Test cricket, will be discontinued due to a lack of interest from players and spectators.
Lalit Modi, the man behind the inception of IPL, has proposed an exciting measure to save the longest format of the game.
With an aim of saving Test cricket, the former IPL chairman suggested that Test teams should be owned by the IPL franchises.
“The only way Test cricket will work, somebody`s going to shoot me for saying this. First time I`m saying this. Let the IPL teams own Test cricket teams. You got the youngsters, you got the loyalty factors. You play your country versus country, without doubt, that`s premier,” he said on The Overlap Podcast.
“I`m saying you have it as a world championship that goes around the world every year, you play those without doubt, but also so that it doesn`t disappear, you have exhibition matches starting off with it–teams playing test cricket. At least play one in a season between each other just to get their youngsters back into the game. That`s going to be like club cricket. You have club cricket in everything. But the primary has to be country versus country,” added Modi.
He also feels that if the team owners want to build a good and loyal relationship with the players, they need to acquire their services at a young age.
“And if you want to build loyalty with the youngsters, you got to catch them young and you`ve got to give them the experience,” he said.
Considering the amount of importance Test cricket is given in Australia and England, players from other countries are not able to experience the heat of the format due to a lack of play, Modi stated.
“I hope Test cricket survives because I love Test cricket. You look at the generation that is growing up now. Unfortunately, they are not experiencing it anywhere else except in Australia and England. These are the only two countries that are actually keeping the level of Test up because of the Ashes and because of the English season, and you have the advantage of that, but the rest of the world, Test is dying,” he said.
The former IPL chairman concluded by saying that a Test match should be a four-day game and played in a day-night mode.
“Now people think I`m crazy to suggest this, but I care about it, and my suggestion has always been, and since 2007, I`ve been saying this: Tests should turn into a four-day game, it should be day and night. People don`t have the luxury today to go out there and spend four days all day sitting in the sun and drinking beer. I`m sorry. Those were the good old days when you had a single-channel television and the Test was rare and not accessible with media today, available to you on the fly. Every match around the world is available to you,” he signed off.
