It is not often that actors have to defend themselves against allegations of witchcraft. But that is what Kangana Ranaut had to do a decade ago after her ex, Adhyayan Suman, filed a case against her, accusing her of physical and emotional abuse, as well as practising ‘black magic’. In a recent podcast, Kangana opened up about the time and how many in the industry branded her a witch after the case.
On the ANI podcast, Kangana claimed she was subjected to severe character attacks at the time. NEW DELHI: Rajasthan Royals’ young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on Thursday offered cake to Romi Bhinder, who was celebrating his birthday. Bhinder is the long-standing Team Manager of Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. A video posted by Rajasthan Royals on social media, showing Sooryavanshi offering cake to Bhinder and urging him to cut it, has gone viral.In the video, Sooryavanshi brings a small cake and asks Bhinder to cut it.“Happy Birthday sir. Cake cutting karna hai”, Sooryavanshi says.When Bhinder replied that he had already cut the cake, the 15-year-old responded: “Vapis karna hai. The shooter, who allegedly fired shots at filmmaker Rohit Shetty‘s house in Mumbai two months ago, was arrested by a joint team of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Thursday.
According to a police statement, the accused has been identified as Pradeep Kumar alias Gaath. He was apprehended from the Chhadami Mattha area on the Agra-Etah road under the Bah police station limits in Agra at 3:56 PM on Thursday.
The firing at Rohit Shetty’s home in Mumbai’s Juhu suburb took place on the night of February 1, 2026. Gunmen fired shots at Shetty Tower, the filmmaker’s residence, hitting the glass railing on his balcony. The attack was allegedly carried out at the behest of the notorious Shubham Lonkar gang to extort money and engender fear within the film industry and among the public.
The police statement called the arrest “the result of technical analysis and intelligence sharing between the Mumbai crime branch and the Uttar Pradesh STF.” The operation was conducted under the supervision of Rakesh, Additional Superintendent of Police, STF Field Unit, Agra.
The accused, a resident of Ashok Nagar in Agra, was motivated by the Lonkar gang’s presence on Facebook and Instagram, following which he decided to target Rohit Shetty. The police said that in preliminary questioning, the accused admitted to participating in the crime along with associates Sunny, Deepu, and Sonu to establish “dominance” in the underworld. Following his arrest, the accused was handed over to the Mumbai Police team at the Bah police station.
A case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Arms Act, Maharashtra Police Act, and the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act had been registered by the Mumbai Police in February

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya snapped at his team after their loss against Punjab Kings on Thursday, April 16. Pandya cut a frustrated figure in the post-match interview and did not have anything positive to say about the team.
Hardik said that he had nothing to say about his side and that he needed to go back to the drawing board to figure out what had gone wrong. Mumbai Indians batted poorly, bowled poorly and fielded poorly on Thursday, losing to Punjab by 7 wickets.
Despite Quinton de Kock’s century, Mumbai scored only 195 runs and eventually ended up surrendering the game in just 16.3 overs. Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh batted with vigour at the Wankhede Stadium and thrashed Mumbai at their home ground on Thursday.
