The Witcher multiplayer spin-off game — codenamed ‘Sirius’ — underwent a major overhaul last week, thanks to a developmental restart that defined a ‘new framework.’ In the process, developer The Molasses Flood has reportedly laid off 29 employees — 21 team members in the US and eight from Poland. The Boston-based studio, best known for the roguelike survival game The Flame in the Hood, was confirmed to be leading development on The Witcher multiplayer spin-off last year, with direct support from CD Projekt Red. At the time, a single-player campaign mode was mentioned as well, though now, it’s unclear if it’s still on the table.
The Molasses Flood was founded in 2014 by a group of veteran developers who worked on Halo and BioShock, after which, it was acquired by The Witcher maker in 2021. “Because the project changed, so has the composition of the team that’s working on it–mainly on The Molasses Flood’s side,” a CD Projekt Red spokesperson said in a statement to Kotaku. Back in March, the publisher filed an impairment charge on Sirius, which is naturally done as a means to write off assets because they serve negligible value to the company. But during a financial earnings call in April, the company confirmed that the project had not been cancelled and that it was simply being reevaluated.
“So this is a project which is, I would say, insourced. It’s also new to us in terms of design and format. For those reasons, it’s very different from the big productions we are known for,” Adam Kiciński, CEO, CD Projekt Red, said in the Q&A session. “To stay competitive, we have to keep looking for new ways to extend our franchises.”
The multiplayer-focused ‘Sirius’ was announced in October last year, alongside plans for a new The Witcher trilogy — dubbed ‘The Witcher Polaris’ — and an open-world remake of the first game in the fantasy RPG franchise, fully rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5. Polish studio Fool’s Theory is leading development on it, which consists of veteran The Witcher series staff and likely follows the same story as the original — monster hunter Geralt of Rivia going on a quest to regain his memories across a fantastical landscape. While the 2007 title received an Enhanced Edition before, this one is the first time it’s being fully rebuilt. Meanwhile, we already received an update on The Witcher 4 in March 2022, which marks the first entry in the new trilogy.
CD Projekt Red is also working on the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty, featuring actor Idris Elba as Solomon Reed, an FIA agent for the ‘New United States of America.’ Currently, there is no release date for the same but is expected to drop sometime this year on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. During the October presentation, the publisher also announced a sequel, codenamed ‘Orion,’ which is touted to take the “Cyberpunk franchise further and continue harnessing the potential of this dark future universe.” Kiciński noted at the time that development on the sequel was still in the early stages and required further growth of the team.

Xiaomi 15 Pro — the successor to the Xiaomi 14 Pro that was launched in November 2023 — is expected to be unveiled soon. A publication has leaked specifications of the handset, along with three images of the purported smartphone that show its rear panel. The leaked renders of the handset suggest that it will be equipped with a triple rear camera setup located in the top left corner, while the LED flash is located to the right of the module. The phone is shown to feature the brand’s name on the bottom left area, and it doesn’t appear to have any other branding.

Xiaomi 15 Pro Specifications (Leaked)
According to the publication, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will be equipped with Qualcomm’s purported Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is expected to be launched later this month, along with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It is also said to sport a 6.78-inch 2K curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The upcoming Xiaomi 15 Pro is also tipped to arrive with a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup that comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera with a Light Fusion 900 series sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a Sony IMX858 lens, and an unspecified telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom that also supports a macro mode. On the front, the handset will reportedly be equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Other leaked specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Pro include an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 6,000mAh battery that can be charged at 90W (wired) and 80W (wireless), along with support for 10W reverse wireless charging. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is also said to run on Android 15 with HyperOS 2 on top, and it could receive up to five years of OS upgrades.
Assassin’s Creed Red’s female protagonist has seemingly leaked online. As per Eurogamer, Ubisoft writer Pierre Boudreau inadvertently set his LinkedIn header image to feature the unnamed lead, who is seen wearing the iconic hooded cloak against a red background, while wielding a katana. The original photo featuring the signature logo has since been replaced with an image of Eivor, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s protagonist. This aligns with the studio’s own claims from a 2022 presentation, where it confirmed that players will be sent into feudal Japan for its upcoming instalment, which is said to revisit open-world RPG elements.
Currently, Assassin’s Creed Codename Red does not have a release date, though a 2024 window was rumoured earlier this year, which goes in line with Ubisoft’s annual launch cycle formula. An InsiderGaming report further revealed that the game will feature two lead characters — the aforementioned female shinobi and an African refugee-turned-samurai, who seems to be inspired by the real-life Yasuke, who was active during the Sengoku Period in Japan. It’s unclear how these two characters will co-exist in the game — as for whether we get to play as both or simply pick either one at the start, akin to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, remains to be seen. Despite, returning to the controversial open-world style, it appears that Assassin’s Creed Red will be heavy on stealth, as players hide in shadows and extinguish torches from afar.
Ubisoft Quebec — known for developing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey — is tasked with creating Assassin’s Creed Red under Jonathan Dumont’s direction. It is part of the publisher’s upcoming central hub called Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is designed to tie in a bunch of different AC titles together, with plans for some standalone multiplayer experiences in the future. “Infinity is going to be a hub that will unite all of our different experiences and our players together in meaningful ways,” Marc-Alexis Côté, VP, Assassin’s Creed, said at the 2022 Ubisoft Forward event. At the time, Ubisoft also confirmed a dark entry to the AC franchise, codenamed Hexe, which was set during the latter stages of the Holy Roman Empire, amidst the witch trials. A teaser for the same was also dropped, which revealed a talisman in the forest, shaped like the Assassin’s Creed logo.
Earlier this month, the publisher launched Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which became Ubisoft’s biggest new-gen launch in terms of unit sales, in under a week. In that time, players collectively took 60 million leaps of faith and spent 479 years parkouring the rooftops of ninth-century Baghdad. We also got a launch date for the long-gestating Assassin’s Creed VR project, called Nexus, which will play out from perspectives of three iconic assassins from the series — Ezio Auditore, Connor Kenway, and Kassandra. The game is now available to pre-order on the Meta Quest VR and launches November 16.
Currently, there is no release window for Assassin’s Creed Red, but when it does come out, we can expect it to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.

The founder of a cryptocurrency mixing service known as Bitcoin Fog was convicted in Washington federal court of helping to launder tens of millions of dollars from darknet markets known for selling illegal drugs.
A jury on Tuesday concluded Roman Sterlingov, 35, provided a service that jumbled digital tokens to make it more difficult to find the source of proceeds from illegal activities. Prosecutors said Bitcoin Fog processed more than $400 million (roughly Rs. 3,375 crore) in untraceable transactions, including $78 million (roughly Rs. 658 crore) involving known darknet markets.
The verdict is the latest win for the US in a crackdown on crypto criminals, including the November conviction of FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried. Sterlingov, a Russian-Swedish national who testified in his own defense and denied he ever ran Bitcoin Fog, faces up to 20 years in prison on the most serious charges. Sterlingov, who’s been in custody for nearly three years, will be sentenced on July 15.
“The defendant set up the whole operation to help criminals hide their assets,” prosecutor Catherine Pelker told jurors during closing arguments. Pelker said it is clear from the evidence that Sterlingov was “instrumental” in setting up Bitcoin Fog.
After about two days of deliberations, jurors found Sterlingov guilty on all four counts, which included conspiring to launder money, money laundering, and two charges related to running an unregistered money transmitting service.
“Darknet criminals should know by now that operations like Bitcoin Fog cannot provide the anonymity for cryptocurrency transactions that they claim they can,” Matthew M. Graves, the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, said in a statement.
Defense lawyer Tor Ekeland called the verdict “disappointing” and said they will appeal.
“This is just the halfway point,” Ekeland said.
During the monthlong trial, prosecutors showed jurors how the government traced the flow of crypto from darknet markets through Bitcoin Fog. They also highlighted a multistep process they say Sterlingov used to pay for the Bitcoin Fog domain name more than a decade ago.
The government also turned to two other crypto criminals to testify about mixers: Ilya Lichtenstein, who pleaded guilty to a money laundering conspiracy last year, and Larry Harmon, who admitted to running a mixer called Helix.
Lichtenstein, who was charged along with his social-media rapper wife, told jurors he used Bitcoin Fog to launder some of the $4.5 billion (roughly Rs. 37,977 crore) in crypto stolen from the hack of Bitfinex. Both he and Harmon said they didn’t know Sterlingov.
Sterlingov testified he worked in information technology and helped create domain names for clients while employed by a marketing and web firm and as a freelancer. He said he didn’t remember whether he created the Bitcoin Fog domain name and doubted that he’d done so. He also didn’t recall certain transactions, noting they’d happened long ago.
The government said it found some small-value transactions that originated from an account registered in Sterlingov’s name that appeared to test Bitcoin Fog before it launched in 2011. Sterlingov has said he was a user of Bitcoin Fog, but didn’t collect fees as the government claimed.
“There is no evidence anywhere that Mr. Sterlingov operated Bitcoin Fog,” including no eyewitness accounts or server logs, Ekeland told jurors during closing arguments.
The government didn’t find any references to Bitcoin Fog on Sterlingov’s electronic devices or notebooks, Ekeland said. He also questioned the logic of Sterlingov using a secretive multistep process to fund Bitcoin Fog when the transaction started with an easily-traceable account registered in Sterlingov’s name.
The defense also questioned the reliability of Wall Street-backed firm Chainalysis, which the Justice Department and Treasury Department have consistently used to help trace the flow of crypto in money laundering cases.
The government said that the company is reliable, and the judge agreed. Prosecutors said they also used other methods to link Sterlingov to operating Bitcoin Fog. Chainalysis has previously called attacks on its credibility a “fundraising ploy” and an effort to assist the crypto world escape accountability.
Overwatch 2’s long-awaited PvE Hero mode has been scrapped. During a developer livestream detailing the roadmap for the game, executive producer Jared Neuss confirmed that the work on the PvE Hero mode — involving talent trees and long-term power progression — is no longer in their plans. Understandably, it’s disappointing for the fans since that PvE mode, announced in 2019, was the main draw for the switch to Overwatch 2 — in addition to the adjacent multiplayer casual and competitive modes. The former was meant to push Overwatch’s lore forward by having players team up with others and partake in various missions — akin to the Uprising and Retribution events in the first game.
The advertised PvE Hero mode was supposed to be an always-available mode that would let players gather XP through repeated playthroughs, granting a player’s choice of hero special buffs, by way of an RPG. Some of those abilities were never even present in Overwatch at the time because overpowered abilities had no effect on online matchmaking — it was restricted to PvE only. Following that, Overwatch 2 suffered multiple delays, with Blizzard confirming last year that the Hero mode will be available at a later date, and going forward with shipping the game with a robust online play system.
“Development on the PvE experience has not really hasn’t made the progress that we have hoped,” Neuss said in the live stream. “There’s brand new enemies that are super fun to fight and some truly great and ridiculous hero talents. But unfortunately, the effort required to pull all of that together into a Blizzard-quality experience that we can ship to you is huge, and there really is no end in sight or defined kind of end date where we can put that out into the world.” Instead of wasting their time refining it, the team has now chosen to abandon it, albeit not fully. Game director Aaron Keller added that rather than pouring their effort into such ‘singular releases,’ the studio is planning to include co-op experiences as parts of their live roadmap.
The roadmap reveals plans for Overwatch 2’s seasons 5, 6, 7, and beyond. Season 5 is slated to kick off June 13 and features a ‘Mischief and Magic’ theme. We’ve been promised a new limited-time event called Questwatch, the returning annual Summer Games event, a cinematic reveal, a 5v5 mini competitive season, and a creator workshop mode. Season 6, however, is being touted as the biggest content drop from Blizzard, starting with the inclusion of Story Missions — some of the PvE material that was announced in 2019. The update also promises a new support hero, a Flashpoint mode, Hero Mastery, a Firing Range, and the Overwatch Anniversary event.
Finally, we learned that Season 7 and beyond would bring a new tank hero and a collaboration event, which would mark the second year for Blizzard’s team-based shooter, following the One-Punch Man event in March. Expect reworks for heroes Roadhog and Sombra, some cinematic debuts, a lore codex, a new Control-based map, and more.

The company’s first clamshell-style foldable phone was introduced in global markets last month, and will make its debut in the country by mid-October, the Transsion-owned company has confirmed. The Infinix Zero Flip is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset and sports a 6.9-inch inner screen along with a 3.64-inch cover display. It also features a 50-megapixel dual outer camera setup, while a third 50-megapixel camera is located in a hole-punch cutout on the inner screen.
Infinix Zero Flip India Launch Date Announced
According to a microsite on the company’s website, the Infinix Zero Flip will be launched in India on October 17. The handset was launched globally in Blossom Glow and Rock Black colourways, but the site only gives us a look at the latter. Other details, such as pricing and availability are likely to be revealed in the days leading up to its debut in the country.

The Infinix Zero Flip is expected to arrive with the same specifications as the model launched in global markets last month. This means it is likely to be powered by a Dimensity 8020 chipset from MediaTek, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of inbuilt storage. It is expected to run on XOS 14 which is based on Android 14.
On the inside, the Infinix Zero Flip sports a 6.9-inch full-HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the 3.64-inch AMOLED cover display also refreshes at 120Hz, according to the company.
For photos and videos, the Zero Flip has a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) along with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera — these are located on the cover display. There’s a 50-megapixel camera on the inner display, and you can record 4K videos using the inner and outer cameras. The handset also offers GoPro integration, according to the company.
The Infinix Zero Flip features dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL. The company says it will receive two OS upgrades (up to Android 16). It packs a 4,720mAh battery that can be charged at 70W using the included charging adapter.

news18 Spoke to several doctors and clinics located in a posh locality, which is known to host luxury apartments worth Rs 100 crore and is home to top businessmen, real estate giants, high-level executives and founders of famous Indian companies.
While some clinics chose not to disclose their client lists, others shared information but did not allow specific names to be mentioned. Let’s explore the health and wellness needs of India’s ultra-rich.
IV Drip Most Popular
The clinics have private rooms with restricted access, reserved only for clients who prefer to remain out of the public eye. Inside, you can see ultra-expensive handbags, rare collector’s wrist watches, and diamond rings worth several carats – all of which people wear to relieve the pressure of their busy lifestyles.
“People come to us and talk openly about their lifestyle challenges. Many have shared that networking is not possible unless beverages are involved. But we assure them that we support them through various services,” said Dr Preeti Nanda Sibal, MBBS from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh.
Although she didn’t allow us to mention the high-level clients she works with, the list includes teens and wives of popular executives and businessmen.

Actress changes stance
The actress had announced two days ago her decision to drop the cases, citing despair and a “lack of support from the government.”
However, speaking to television channels, she said her family had encouraged her to continue her fight, prompting her to reconsider. “My husband called me and urged me to proceed with the cases. He assured me of full family support, saying there was no reason to back down after the harassment I endured,” she told the media on Sunday.
The actress had accused several male actors, including CPI(M) MLA M Mukesh, of sexual abuse, a few years ago.
On Friday, she expressed reluctance to continue the complaints, citing a “lack of support and protection from the Kerala government,” as well as “mental exhaustion.”
She alleged deliberate attempts to falsely implicate her in a POCSO case following her harassment complaints against actors such as Mukesh, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Idavela Babu.
How the allegations surfaced
The allegations surfaced amid the revelations of the Justice Hema Committee report, which detailed widespread harassment and exploitation of women in the Malayalam film industry.
The Kerala government had constituted the Justice Hema Committee following the 2017 actress assault case. The report, now submitted to the Kerala High Court, was handed over to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing complaints of sexual abuse in the industry.
The SIT has registered 26 FIRs based on the report’s findings.
The actress reiterated her commitment to cooperate with the investigation, stressing that no complaint would be withdrawn.
