Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a promotional offer on one of its prepaid mobile recharge plans for users in India. With this offer, prepaid users can get an additional 3GB of data on top of the existing benefits of the plan when recharging exclusively with the BSNL Selfcare app. Notably, the state-owned telecom service provider recently introduced two new services in the country: a fibre-based intranet TV and a direct-to-device satellite connectivity.

BSNL says prepaid users can now enjoy more data with its Rs. 599 prepaid recharge plan. It comes with 84-day validity and offers 3GB of data per day, along with unlimited local and STD calling, and 100 daily SMS. Along with the daily benefits, BSNL customers will also receive an additional 3GB of data.

The prepaid recharge plan also bundles other value-added services such as subscriptions to the Zing music and video streaming app, Personal Ring Back Tone, Astrotell, and GameOn. All the benefits of the plan are applicable on recharging exclusively with the BSNL Selfcare app which is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

The telecom provider also offers similar benefits with the Rs. 299 prepaid recharge plan but it comes with a reduced validity of 30 days.

Robert Ravi, Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL recently announced that the telecom operator will not hike tariffs. Instead, it will focus on improving the quality of its services in a bid to retain the new consumers it gained following the price hike rolled out in India by telecom operators such as Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. This hike resulted in BSNL gaining 2.9 million subscribers in India in July, with lower tariffs attributed as a major reason behind the migration of consumers.

As per the official, the telecom operator plans to grow its market share in the country to 25 percent by 2025. Some of the driving factors behind this anticipated growth are the seven recently announced services, including spam protection, Wi-Fi roaming service for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) consumers, Any Time SIM (ATM) kiosks, and a fibre-based intranet TV service.

Microsoft is reportedly expanding its Bing AI chatbot to other browsers like Chrome and Safari. While there has been no official rollout of the same, there have been reports citing confirmation from the company about the new update. Bing chatbot is said to be available for select users on Chrome and Safari. While the feature is currently only accessible to Edge users, the new expansion may make it easy for users across browsers to use the Bing AI chatbot.

In a recent report, Windows Latest revealed that Microsoft is rolling out Bing chat to Google Chrome and Safari with a few limitations. While the company did not make any announcement about the same, it has reportedly confirmed to TechCrunch that Microsoft is testing the expansion for select users in select regions.

According to the report, Microsoft’s director of communications Caitlin Roulston stated, “We are flighting access to Bing Chat in Safari and Chrome to select users as part of our testing on other browsers.”

The Windows Latest report also mentioned that users who are gaining the access to test Bing Chat will receive a pop-up message on Windows 10 or 11’s taskbar, providing them access to try Bing chatbot on Chrome. The chat is said to come with native dark mode enabled. However, users do get the freedom to switch between light and dark mode, using the hamburger menu, as per the report.

It also mentioned that Bing chat on Chrome only supports five messages per conversation, with character count limited to 2,000. On the contrary, Bing on Edge provides support for as many as 30 messages, which supports 4,000 characters.

It is to be noted that the company is yet to announce the official rollout of the same. Moreover, for users who are not ‘selected’ for Bing on Chrome or Safari test, a pop-up message appears to recommend downloading Microsoft Edge when they access Bing AI on Chrome or Safari. Honor Magic 7 series is scheduled to launch in China on October 30 as the successor to the Magic 6 series. Ahead of its impending debut, a tipster has suggested the specifications of the purported smartphone lineup, including details about its storage variants, colourways, security enhancements, and the chipset. Both the Honor Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro are expected to come with up to 1TB of storage, and multiple colour options.

Honor Magic 7 Series Specifications Tipped

In a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) suggested that the Honor Magic 7 will be offered in 512GB and 1TB of onboard storage. The handset is speculated to be available in five colourways: black, blue, gold, grey, and white.

Meanwhile, the Honor Magic 7 Pro is said to be offered in three storage configurations: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. It is tipped to come in black, blue, grey, and white colourways.

The tipster suggested that the Honor Magic 7 series will be equipped with screen eye protection upgrades. Additionally, it will also support 3D face unlock along with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. In terms of optics, the smartphone lineup could sport upgraded periscope telephoto lenses. The handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (ubiquitously known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4).

Honor Magic 7 Pro Specifications (Expected)

Honor Magic 7 Pro is reported to sport a 6.82-inch 2K dual-layer OLED screen with quad-curved edges, 120Hz refresh rate, and Kunlun Glass protection. It is said to support Honor’s eye protection 3.0 and 8T LTPO technology. The Snapdragon chipset is expected to come with support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 onboard storage.

For optics, the purported handset is speculated to sport a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H primary sensor, 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter, and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with a periscope telephoto lens or a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor.

The handset is said to be backed by a 5,800mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 66W wireless charging.
